I love foxgloves, this time of year , on display all over our hedgegrows.

In Irish folklore, it is said if you plant these you invite fairies into your garden. It is said they use the florets of the plant for gloves or bonnets. 🧚‍♀️

They are also a great source of pollen for other winged creatures. 🐝

I was hoping to ask those that follow this page a favour please.

Last week, sick of seeing rubbish outside on my road I decided to do a small clean in my immediate area. I could not believe how much rubbish I collected.

This company Big Bin is beginning to show up at filling stations around the country . There are none in West Cork. You pay as you go to dispose both recyclable waste and domestic waste. It is a much cheaper alternative to the waste companies that collect your waste.

I do understand times are trying and every little helps when it comes to saving money. I would love to see every town in West Cork having one of these Big Bins in the area. It breaks my heart to see the amount of rubbish bags being dumped at the moment onto our beautiful countryside roads. Ireland is a gorgeous country and all I see at the moment when driving is rubbish. It’s such a sad sight.

With this company, on their website there is a form that can be filled out. Also if we could approach filling stations and ask them to offer a space for these bins which would provide an important service to their localities.

If enough of us made some noise it could become a reality.

So if everyone could please share this message on their pages, I would be so appreciative.
