๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi there, parents! Let's dive into a crucial topic today: effective communication with your teenagers. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ

It is no secret that discussing things with teens can often seem like walking a maze. But do not fear, for some simple yet strong tips are here to help you out with those lines of communication!

Tip #1: "Listen More, Speak Less." Sometimes, all that is required of us is to listen to our teens without jumping in with advice or lectures. Let them express their own feelings and really "hear" them.

#2: Be there and be present. Quality time counts! Cut out time to engage with your teenager, put away the distractions, maybe over a meal or even driving somewhere, and relish these moments of conversation.

Tip #3: Validate their emotions. Adolescence has lots of emotions tied to it, and teenagers need to feel understood. Even if you do not always agree with their feelings, the recognition of them as valid builds trust and strengthens the bond between both of you.

Hence, through active listening, being present, and recognising those feelings, let's create a haven whereby the teenagers feel supported and heard.
