Great evening with the locals.
Galway GAA Gaillimh Abú
Great day for the parish. Literally.
Annaghdowngaa Gaillimh Abú.
Here at Annaghdown GAA, we have commenced our build up to the All-Ireland Football Final.
We are so proud of the Galway Senior Footballers and management but even more proud of our Club men, Damo, Diarmuid and Padraig. With that we are delighted to announce that tomorrow evening (Wed) we will be joined by RTE/Up For The Match as they do some pre-recording from Cregg that will be shown on the "Up for the Match Programme" on the night before the All Ireland.
All are welcome to attend. We would ask that you wear your Galway Colours and bring your hats, flags, air horns, footballs etc etc.
On the evening RTE will be recording various different things around the Club and will be chatting to some local people from the Club, local celebrities and people close to Damo.
So that's this Wednesday evening.
Starting at 6.30pm
Venue: Cregg.

Hello.
My name is Shackleton.
Nice to meet you all.
Sadly Muzzy passed away last month and I’m now the new kid on the block.
Lots to learn here in my new home.
Great news for Annaghdown Community Development Committee and the parish.
Would have been 70 years married today.
Remembering our great granny who hailed from Shrule and her anniversary is September 8th. She passed away 1962.
As September 7th comes to an end we remember our grandad Leo Scott who passed away 20 years ago.
He’d be highly amused seeing h**p growing in his fields these days 😂
Always in our hearts 💙
Our deepest condolences to all the family and friends of Brian Lohan.
May his gentle soul rest in peace 💔
Rummaging around down in ‘the dairy’ shed and finding Grandads calendar left open at August 2001. He passed away 7th September 2001.
The press probably hasn’t been opened since!

Annaghdown Pier
Delighted to get confirmation of a €30k allocation this evening to upgrade facilities at Annaghdown Pier. This will provide for seating, solar powered compacting litter bins, cycle parking and signage. Huge thanks to Paula Higgins and the area office at GCC for working on this.
But it’s sunny and blue sky 😂
Watching the sun go down with the newest neighbours.
They were wary of me at first but after a bit of chat they relaxed and let me take a few photos.
The bull remained wary 😒

Annaghdown Community Development Committee
Dear Community members we write to you as a member of the local community for your support of the Annaghdown Walking Track & MUGA . If you are in a position to offer financial support this community needs your help. We are asking for leaders in every family to help organise a family or group donation with your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, cousins or friends. We can promote this achievement on our social media account if you wish.
Due to the challenging times we are now in, we as a Committee are unable to organise any large fundraising events to help raise the final €15,000 required to commence construction of this project which is intended to commence in June 2021.
100% of all donations go to the Annaghdown Walking Track & MUGA project set to begin construction in summer 2021.
