Perfection is a brittle state focused on achieving and maintaining unwavering external standards. This is a life that is always under threat and focused on avoiding failure. When we’re consumed by perfectionism, we have a negative orientation; and love for the self cannot be a refuge, because love has become too conditional, too much based on measuring performance. The illusion that supports perfectionism is the notion that, with superior self-control, we can sustain a perfect life. But one lapse and we’re not perfect anymore, and our sense of ourselves plummets, taking love with it.

Our Story
Yoga Ripples is offering a Slow Flow Gentle and Mindful Yoga class in An Seomra Danu, a cosy log cabin at the back of the Triskel Centre at 22 Lenaboy Gardens Salthill, Galway. Join the class to nourish and replenish your self from the inside out. Take time out for you to reconnect, destress, unwind & let go. Develop breath awareness. Improve flexibility, strength and focus. Decrease muscle & joint stiffness aches and pain. Improved posture. digestion & your skin. Reduced anxiety, stress, depression. Sleep like a happy baby afterwards. Class sizes will small as the log cabin has limited mat space- so please register before arrival. There is ample parking.
Deirdre, (Dee) offers 1-1 private yoga classes in your home. Maybe you don’t have the time to attend a class or prefer a term of 1-1 classes before attending a group class. Check out her reviews. With her nursing background & knowledge of the body - adaptations of each pose may be offered for therapeutic and safety reasons. Please contact her to check her availability.
Deirdre O’Toole created Yoga Ripples. Deirdre is a registered Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, since 2011. Deirdre completed a 200hr Yoga teacher training with Green Lotus Yoga in Galway and a further 400hr intensive Yoga and Pranayama training course under the guidance of Yogacharia Vinay Kumar of Prana Vashya Yoga Mysore India. Deirdre has been practicing yoga with over 14 years and regularly attends Yoga, Mindfulness, Meditation & Somatics workshops and retreats- the more interesting the location the better. Deirdre is a registered general nurse and occupation health nurse specialist and holds a higher diploma in applied science.
