Seven Clare Garda Youth Awards awards were given out to amazing and deserving young people/youth groups in the Woodstock Hotel in Ennis today and we were fortunate to have two of those winners as our students. 🏆
Congratulations to Aaron Hunt on winning an individual award, nominated for all his work in organising the Patrick McKeogh Memorial Tractor Run 🚜 which raises much needed funds for charities in our community, and to Daniel Spaight on winning an individual award nominated for bravely sharing his story with cancer and educating us all on how to overcome life’s challenges with humour. Daniel has been chosen to go forward to represent Clare at the 🇮🇪 National Garda Youth Awards. Thanks to all at Shannon Airport Group and Clare Gardaí for such a wonderful and humbling event, as always 👏🏼 We could not be more proud of these young men, a credit to their families, their school and their communities..

Wishing all our Leaving and Junior Cycle students the very best of luck tomorrow as they begin their exams.

Well done to our TY students who ran a Club Colours Day as part of their GAA Future Leaders Programme and raised 290 euro for Killaloe/Ballina Community & Family Resource Centre. Hannah, Kate & Julia recently presented the money raised to the centre’s manager Kees.

We said goodbye to the Class of ‘24 yesterday, after 6 short years of having them in our classrooms and hallways. We wish them every success on the paths they choose to travel on from here and we look forward to having them back for visits to tell us of all their adventures, mistakes and learnings that they gather from here on out. We will miss their faces and their antics and we hope they spread their wings and soar to new heights of freedom! KT💕 🎓

A special one this morning with the aurora borealis putting on a show on our approach to the twin towns, and of course a great crowd out with the dawn chorus to mark another year of Darkness Into Light. We were delighted to present Maura McMahon from Focus Ireland with €750. These were the proceeds from The Big Busk for Focus Ireland which took place on April 12th.

Maura gave a presentation to our 1st year students about Focus Ireland and the work they do.

Many thanks to everyone who supported The Big Busk and helped us to raise funds and awareness for this very worthy cause.

Well done to our tennis stars who have been on the courts this year in Waterford, Tipperary and at home in Clare. Some great play from both the girls and boys with wins coming in for both teams 🎾 Thanks to the parents for bringing them to represent our school! KT💕

Well done to our senior girls soccer team who finished their league campaign today with a trip to Ennis. The girls showed great fight and determination but fell short to a strong Coláiste Mhuire team!

Fresh Eyes Festival is happening Thursday May 16th 2024 in St. Anne's Community College, Killaloe!

We are opening our eyes to our own creativity in St. Anne's this year and have been busy planning our very own music and arts festival!

Live performances, exhibitions, stalls, food and fun will be brought to you by our student led festival committee.

Our TY’s were delighted to welcome Michelle Coughlan Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick today who spoke on how to support people with Down Syndrome in our community. Our students presented €630 from the proceeds of a Bake sale and “rock your socks” campaign held on World Down Syndrome day, March 22st. last. Thanks to Ms. Fitzgerald 5th. Our TY’s took part in a fantastic “Develop Me” Team Building and Leadership Development challenge recently to develop an understanding of key components of Project Management and Personal Performance. Thanks to Gerard O’Shea and Irish Olympian Thomas Barr for delivering this fun personal development workshop.
