Triskell Music is an MTB Exam Centre.
I really appreciate that this Board only uses specialist Examiners
i.e. if you are taking a Singing Exam you are examined by a singer, a violin exam you are examined by a violinist and if it's a piano exam you are examined by a pianist. This means that examiner feedback is always very relevant and helpful.

Well that happened fast!
St Patrick's day just whizzed by and we're looking at Easter already.
I didn't get a chance to post the annual St. Patrick's day greeting but did fit in a nice little session with some of the trad students.
This is a very busy season for us. The Junior Certs and Leaving Certs have just. got their Exam dates and The SCT and MTB candidates will get their dates after Easter. There is nothing like getting a date for creating a bit of focus.
It will only be a couple weeks then to the Annual Concert at the end of the month and then the Summer Exams will be rolling around.
Planning now for some very important downtime over the Easter break and some interesting activities for the Group Workshops in May.

2024 is here and back to business with a full week of Lessons.
It was nice to get some down time and have a chance to do some arranging and transcribing but I am looking forward now to a week of both routine and variety at the same time. With students ranging from Pre-schoolers to Retirees and lots of different levels and interests every lesson is different and every day is exciting !

As usual , so busy enjoying the performances that I forgot to take any photos.

A huge thank you to all the parents of the students who played at this evening's Christmas Get-together. It's wonderful to see them growing in confidence playing for and with others.

A week full of lectures, performance masterclasses, recitals, lessons, practise, wide ranging discussions and even some fresh air and exercise with this bunch of talented pianists and the hugely knowledgeable and awe inspiring Vedrana Subotic.

What's the collective noun for pianists? 🤔 ...

Kerry Violinist Kenneth Rice will perform with the Irish Chamber Orchestra in Siamsa Tíre on Saturday October 21st 🎼

A classically trained violinist from the outset, Kenneth finished his formal training in London with David Takeno, head of strings at the Guildhall school of music and drama, and promptly joined a psychedelic pop band, Engine Alley.

He is now a sought after freelance orchestral player and leader of Dublin (Ireland) based orchestras such as the Orchestra of the National Concert Hall, the Lyric Opera Orchestra, Dublin Sinfonia and the Lombard Ensemble.
