When you're stressed, thinking of ways to unwind can be difficult. A self-care jar simplifies this by offering ready-made options, making it easier to practice self-care. Drawing a random activity each day, stops self-care from becoming monotonous and boring and allows you to try different things each day.
We are taking a break for summer! Time to kick back and enjoy the warm rain ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
We had an amazing day at the Southill health day in Southill Family Resource Centre on Thursday! What a lovely gesture from the staff in Dealz Bedford Row, Limerick well done! Nice to see people helping other people
As everyone has seen PAโs chipper has really opened up everyoneโs eyes and hit home with his latest video. We have seen so many businesses get involved to help and support the vulnerable and homeless and we also want to do the same. There are hundreds of people starving everyday and night in our city and something as small as a bar of chocolate or a drink goes a long way. So tomorrow between 5pm and 6pm two of our management team will be at the top of Bedford row handing out bars and taytos to whoever is in need. It may not be much but like I said it goes a long way. If anyone wants to donate anything towards this you can pop in to our shop between this evening and tomorrow and weโll add it to everything we have. Every little helps! Hopefully more people will come together and help in anyway they can.
Please spread the word! โค๏ธ
International women's day celebrations today we sang, danced and laughed our worry away today โค๏ธ there are too many to thank. But a huge thank you to the Southill women's group for the hard work and support they give every woman they meet! โค๏ธ

Weโre heading into the darkest days of winter - itโs important to self care, even if thatโs just getting one thing done in a day.
DEPRESSION TIPS:
Shower. Not a bath, a shower.
Use water as hot or cold as you like. You donโt even need to wash. Just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. Sit on the floor if you gotta.
Moisturize everything.
Use whatever lotion you like.
Unscented? Cheap lotion? Fancy 48 hour lotion that makes you smell like a field of wildflowers? Use whatever you want, and use it all over your entire dermis.
Put on clean, comfortable clothes.
Put on your favorite underwear.
Those ridiculous boxers you bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? Put them on.
Drink cold water.
Use ice. If you want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.
Clean something.
Doesnโt have to be anything big. Organize one drawer of a desk. Wash five dirty dishes. Do a load of laundry. Scrub the bathroom sink.
Blast music.
Listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something thatโs got lots of energy. Sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.
Make food.
Donโt just grab a granola bar to munch. Take the time and make food. Even if itโs ramen. Add something special to it, like a soft boiled egg or some veggies. Prepare food, it tastes way better, and youโll feel like you accomplished something.
Make something.
Write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. Even if you donโt think youโre good at it. Create.
Go outside.
Take a walk. Bundle up if you have too. Listen to whatever birds winter where you are, watch the squirrels, admire whatever lights are in the trees. Go to the letterbox, send a letter, a bill, a card.
Call someone.
Call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. Talk to a stranger on the street. Have a conversation and listen to someoneโs voice. If you canโt bring yourself to call, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. Even if you donโt say much, listen to them. It helps.
Cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them.
Take pictures of them. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out, anything.
May seem small or silly to some, but this list keeps people alive.
*** At your absolute best you wonโt be good enough for the wrong people. But at your worst, youโll still be worth it to the right ones. Remember that. Keep holding on.
*** In case nobody has told you today I love you and you are worth your weight and then some in gold, so be kind to yourself and most of all keep pushing on!!!!
Find something to be grateful for!
May I please get 2 friends or family members to copy and re-post? I am trying to demonstrate that someone is always listening.
Just two. Any two.

Lots of fun in art class the last few weeks! It's great to try different types of art each week so we can all figure out what we are good at ๐๐๐
A teacher gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The teacher then mixed all the balloons. The students were then given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.
At that point, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
The teacher said to the students: "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."
