🎭 MEET THE CREW 🎭

Next up is the newest addition to our writers' room, Stephen O'Brien. Stephen is a writer and actor from Shannon, Co. Clare.

An avid fan of speculative fiction and sketch comedy, Stephen's writing takes influence from "Airplane!", "Black Mirror", and "I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson".

Stephen attended Mary Immaculate College, Ireland, collaborating with many of the other Stage Frights! writers on a variety of sketch comedy shows, both as writer and actor. Stephen has been a terrific addition to our writers room this year, and is very much looking forward to seeing his work come to life in the Record Room next week for Stage Frights! A Night of Spooky Plays!

Stage Frights runs Tuesday the 29th, Wednesday the 30th and Thursday the 31st of October!

🎭 MEET THE CAST 🎭

Next up is Shannon based Tara Monaghan, who returns to Stage Frights after playing a variety of eccentric roles in last year's show.

Tara joined Eclipse Stage School at the age of 6, and went on to to study Drama and Theatre at University College Cork. Since then, Tara has taken on a variety of roles across Clare and Limerick, including the role of the Lady in our recent production of The Man of Destiny, and Shelby in the Ennis Players' production of Steel Magnolias.

🎭 MEET THE CAST 🎭

Next up is our MC, Lauren McNamara! An accomplished performance poet with performances at Glastonbury, Electric Picnic and Indiependence under her belt, Lauren has been a mainstay of Stage Frights since our first year.

Lauren's debut poetry collection, "Quarter Life Crisis", was published last month by Revival Press.

🎭 MEET THE CAST! 🎭

With less than a fortnight to go in the show, it's time to introduce the cast! First up is writer, director AND actor, Ronan Deegan!

Ronan is a theatre-maker based in Limerick, who has written, directed and performed in work presented at Smock Alley Theatre, Galway Fringe Festival, Barnstaple Fringe TheatreFest and Limerick Fringe.

In 2019, he directed "Hello My Name is Single" by Lauren McNamara at Limerick Fringe 2019, which, after a sold out run, won the Spirit of Fringe Award and featured in the 2022 Glastonbury Music Festival.

In 2022, Ronan performed in the Weird Gravy Theatre Co. Showcase, playing the role of Austin in "With Love for My Two Daughters".

Ronan has written and performed in every iteration of our now annual , taking on a wide variety of hilarious (and weirdly intense) roles.
