Creating custom artwork with an AxiDraw Pen Plotter. Always open to collaborations.
A3, A4 and A6 size prints of my drawing still available from
Mindfully printed with eco-inks on recycled paper, framing available in store. Check out the full print collection on their website to see the work of other great artists.
Nice to have one of my own drawings hanging up in the house. Very pleased with how this one turned out, both the plotter drawing and how it worked as a multi-frame image at a bigger scale than I normally produce.
I have three leftover postcards after the project. I’ll send one to each of the first three people to leave a comment asking for one.

I’ll post this drawing to the first person that leaves a comment that says ‘I read the caption’.
I was trying out a new rotring isograph nib with some watercolour paper. It didn’t turn out the way I expected but the result was still pretty interesting.
First attempt at plotting this on the . It’s been a while since I tried this technique and I seem to have forgotten all the things required to make it a success - need to use more contrasting colours, lines are spaced a little too tight together and there needs to be more light/dark contrast in the source image. It’s all fixable but it’s good to keep a record of what does not work as well as what does work.
A very simple setup letting a mograph effector with a noise shader determine the scale of cloned objects
Another simple experiment - this is a mograph shader with some animated noise just doing it own thing to a cloner object with almost no tweaking to the basic settings, but it’s nice just to hit PLAY and watch it go
Sometimes when exploring ideas in I create things I find interesting but that not so good for plotting. I should keep a record of those experiments here, just in case they ever spark some other ideas.
Testing Uni 0.5 Mint Blue Nano Dia mechanical pencils leads with the and watercolour paper. Even with ALL the weights I feel comfortable adding, still left very faint marks on the paper. Interesting but maybe not super useful.
Testing out a new process using Cinema4D to create truly randomised configurations of truchet-style tiles instead doing it in
Not so happy with resulting plot - I prefer the individual lines to be more visible. Need to be more selective of what pen I choose but this was fine for a first test plot. Am thinking to repeat it again in a metallic effect.
