Team up for Theo

2020 has FINALLY come to an end and we all wait in anticipation for a relatively better 2021!

With the end of the year also came the news that Theo currently does not hit the criteria to get on the trial in New York. We have been told we have to wait until Theo is six months cancer free which will bring us to June 2021. In the interim, the doctors in New York have recommended he go to Barcelona for further treatment. This is yet another big decision to make and we will have to weigh up all options and decide in the next week or so.

Theo will have another big scan in May and hopefully will still be clear so we can get on that much anticipated, long road to New York.

As several people have said to me, maybe this is a blessing in disguise with everything going on in the world at the moment. Who knows.

Thanks to all of you the funds are in place for us to go, as soon as we get the go ahead. I want to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year, and again thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your continued support.

Murroe Community spirit at it's best!!

Theo turned on the lights on this amazing 'Tree for Theo', at the monument in Murroe yesterday evening. A sign placed in front of the tree wished Theo a Happy Christmas from all the young boys and girls.

A message from the 'Team Up for Theo' volunteers:

"Hello everyone, just to update you on our Christmas Tree at the Monument this year. A few of us have got together and purchased lights to light up a tree for the "Team Up For Theo" campaign. We have contacted our own & many neighbouring primary schools to ask if children would sponsor a light for €2 per light where all the sponsered light monies would go directly to Theo's treatment in New York. We plan to have the tree ready for switch on Sunday 6th December. A big thanks to the local lads helping to get the tree ready 👍 It will be a very special tree with one child giving light to another 👐 Watch this space for updates."

In line with our raffle for signed jerseys many local primary schools are taking part in a jersey day on Friday 4th Dec. We would like to thank all the kids who will be taking part and all those who have given their pocket money to Team up for Theo....together we are stronger 💪❤
