Tune in tomorrow to RTÉ Radio 1 to hear the wonderful Dorothy Teskey of Adare talking to Brenda Donoghue just after the 1 O’Clock news about her memoirs & book.
Dorothy has kindly donated over €2000 to Limerick Su***de Watch from the proceeds of her audio book.
Sincere thank you to Dorothy & to all who purchased her book ❤️💚🧡
Last year we were introduced to the wonderful TikTok sensation Dorothy Teskey from Adare, who at 80 plus years of age, challenged COVID head on and took the opportunity of learning lots of new skills during lockdown.
Dorothy has now released stories from her life on YouTube and via an audio book. She has kindly offered to share this for free and in turn would appreciate a donation to LSW on her behalf via our iDonate link- we would appreciate a donation but would appreciate it even more that people take a few hours out to listen to Dorothy's stories of life gone by, stories like Dorothy's are as precious as time ❤🧡💚

Many thanks to Limerick Gaa for the invitation to attend their 2024 Health & Wellbeing seminar at the Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa in Adare.
Our volunteers Joan, Maire & Shannon, advised that the interaction with the clubs & organisations on the night was great.
This approach to Health & Wellbeing by Limerick GAA is a very important step in providing the right tools & support structures for not just the GAA community but all sports organisations in the county and beyond.
Many thanks to all who stopped by to say hello and take some information items, and well done to all the guest speakers who attended on the evening, very informative & inspiring to hear.

Training is very important for our volunteer members. Yesterday evening we did some training which involved simulating a person in the water. The training covered the use of our motorised Hoverstar HoverArk life buoy devices.
Thanks to our friends & fellow volunteers of Limerick Marine Search And Rescue Service who provided on water support & offered some expert advice on how to work with the flows of the river when launching & operating the life buoy.
These essential life saving devices were acquired thanks to the generous support of those who have donated/fundraise for our group & local businesses who choose to support through various initiatives ❤️💚🧡
A big night in Edinburgh for John Humphries this coming Saturday as he puts his 8 weeks of training to task by taking part in a white collar MMA event.
John has decided, along with his personal gains, to also raise funds for our Volunteer group for which we are very grateful.
Best of luck to John, we hope you enjoy (as much as possible) the experience and thank you for choosing LSW as your nominated beneficiary. If you would like to support John you can do so on the link below
