Thanks to everyone who came to Shannon today to protest against the US military use of the airport.
Any support for the US military is unacceptable, given their support for Israel. Time for the Irish government to take action. Stop supporting genocide.
Yesterday a US Air Force C-40 travelled through Shannon Airport on its way from Florida to Tel Aviv in Israel. Today it landed at Shannon again on its return trip.
Ireland is almost certainly supporting the by allowing these flights to land.

US Military Use of Shannon Links Ireland Directly with Genocide
US Military Use of Shannon Links Ireland Directly with Genocide At Shannon today the Gardai were asked to search and investigate a US Air Force Boeing C40 registration 02-0042 that was at Shannon Airport, having come from Tel Aviv in Israel. Thanks to everyone who joined us at our peace vigil in Shannon today. It was a poignant gathering, as the names of children in Gaza who have been murdered by Israel, using US weapons were read out.
And all the while, a US military plane sat on the tarmac at Shannon. It can come from Tel Aviv. The Gardai were asked to inspect it, as it was in breach of Irish neutrality and likely to be complicit in the genocide in Gaza. But of course they did nothing.
Now more than ever we need to get the US military OUT OF SHANNON.
Shannon Airport was awash with US Army personnel this morning (May 6th), as two plane loads of troops sat around the duty free waiting to be brought home.

We're grateful to everyone who came to Shannon today to demand an end to the US military use of the airport. Biggest demo in years; so many people responding to the urgent need to stop Ireland's support for military aggression and genocide.
For people coming to Shannon tomorrow (Apr 14th) for the peace demo, here is the location (where we will gather).
See you there at 2pm!
Major demo on Sunday Apr 14th, 2pm at Shannon. We need to get the US military out, now more than ever.
Well done to the 3 activists who challenged the presence of the US military at Shannon Airport this morning.
The airport has been complicit in war and suffering for over 2 decades. The links with the genocide in Gaza should now be too much for our government to stomach. But it appears not. They are still issuing permits for the US military to land there.
