As part of the qualification the learners will build a bespoke bicycle frame. During this process you will gain accreditations in Tig welding, Bronze & silver brazing, sand blasting, lathe turning, hand jig development & product design.
The learner will also get an introudction to Electronic engineering and sustainable transport
Graduates of the programme have a proven pathway to third level education
An example:
Our graduates have the option to join a Level 7/8 Bachelors of Engineering programme (BEng) with TUS in Limerick.
Direct entry into second year of the 3 year (Level 7) or 4 year (Level 8 ) is available to our graduates
Automotive Engineering and Transport Management – BEng (Hons)
Are there any financial supports in place for the students?
Tuition costs are fully covered by the Education Training Board (LCETB)
Students currently in receipt of social welfare will not have their payments effected by enrolling in any of our courses

On completion of the course there is a proven pathway to a third level engineering Degree with TUS ( Technical University Shannon, Limerick)
During the course you will gain 6 individual City & Guilds Qualifications across 27 modules. Plus a overall Level 5 (QQI) Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
This brand new course is due to start on July 1st and run for 29 weeks.

Our first batch of refurbished charity bikes were collected today
Slí Eile enables people with mental health challenges to recover and rebuild their lives.
In 2023 a flood hit Midleton Co Cork.
is ran by a previous graduate of BEA
Unfortunately the majority of there bicycles were economically destroyed in the flood.
They have kindly donated them to us at BEA
Our students fully rebuilt each bike ready to be donated to charity.
All our courses are fully funded by the Education Training Board and free of charge to the student
