University of Limerick Vacancies

We are delighted to announce that Professor Sibel Erduran has accepted our invitation to become an Adjunct Professor at EPI•STEM National Centre for STEM Education at the University of Limerick. Sibel, is currently Professor of Science Education and Director of Research at the School of Education, University of Oxford. Prior to that she was Chair of STEM Education at UL where she was the Director of EPI*STEM. Prof. Erduran is Editor-in-Chief of Science & Education, and an Editor for the International Journal of Science Education. She is President of the European Science Education Research Association. We look forward to continuing our association with Professor Erduran as we build on our Science Education expertise in research & development activities at the School of Education and with colleagues and partners across faculty in UL and nationally.

EPI•STEM The National Centre for STEM Education started in the University of Limerick in 2008 with support and financial investment from the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and from the University of Limerick (UL President’s Letter, 31st July 2008). Since then, it has

We are delighted to announce that Professor Merrilyn Goos has accepted our invitation to become an Adjunct Professor at EPI•STEM The National Centre for STEM Education at the University of Limerick. Merrilyn, is currently Professor of Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia, a renowned mathematics educator and former Director of the Centre. We look forward to working with Professor Goos in relation to our upskilling of maths teachers (PDMT programme) and in our Research & Development activities.

For EPISTEM would love to answer some of these burning questions your students might have. We will aim to answer these via short podcasts or videos. So get your students questions into us today and we will try to answer these in a fun and engaging way!
