It was Father and Son night in Naas as David and Riaghan Murphy were presented with their Black Belts by Master Doyle. Also we had Mr Justin Mulhern joined by his son Darragh after a few years break from training. We can’t forget the daughters as Mr Murphy and Master Doyle’s were both training, then to complete the family theme we had Master Doyle’s grandniece and Mr Murphy’s nephew and niece too! One big Taekwon-Do family

Grandmaster Howard is hosting the Tournament Sparring Instructors Course in his school on 18th August. This is the booking form. This day is the practical part and there is an online part as well to complete before the practical. Open to blue belt and above and 16 years and over. More information on the link.

Classes are now finished for the Summer break and will resume in September. For those wanting to do some training during July & August, Master Doyle will have classes every Thursday in Tymon Bawn Community Centre, Tallaght from 6-7pm and Saturday’s in Carlow Taekwon-Do School from 11:30-1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend so just contact Master Doyle for directions.

The 15th June marks the 22nd anniversary of the death of General Choi Hong Hi. Gen. Choi came up with the name “Taekwon-Do” in 1955 and was instrumental in the development of his new Martial Art culminating with the founding of the ITF in 1966. Known as the Father of Taekwon-Do he is sadly missed today but his legacy still lives on though all of us.
I had the honour of placing a flower on his grave alongside my Instructor Grand Master Howard when I visited Pyongyang in 2011.

Kilmacow Taekwon-Do School cordially invite your female students to attend this year’s annual Female training conducted by Ms Audrey Condon 6th Dan on 23rd June 2024.
This year the female class is being hosted by the Kilmacow Taekwon-Do School at the Marion Hall, Dunkitt, Co. Kilkenny. The class will run from 10.30am – 2pm with a ½ hour lunch break. Please note there are limited food facilities available, a packed lunch is recommended.
All RITA registered female members Junior & Senior from green tag are welcome to attend. Instructors please inform your female students and encourage them to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to meet and train with their Taekwon-Do sisters.
