What a fabulous day was had by the German students from The Realschule Höchstadt, which is and Erasmus+ Accredited school along with their Irish counterparts were learning a few jewellery techniques at Davitt College, Castlebar.

Delighted to have been included in the Made Local Made to last DCCI campaign!

Tagua earrings!. Tagua is a seed from a palm tree that grows in the tropical regions of South America. Tagua is known as vegetable ivory making it a sustainable product used in the fashion an accessory industry.

Last workshop of the year! Taught twenty two lovely ladies this afternoon which was a great place to be in this weather. 🌧️🎄🎁🎅🏻

Sixteen pair of earrings, sixteen necklaces, sixteen bracelets were made in class. Needless to say sixteen very happy ladies!! ☺️

Cyber Monday. Nothing safer than walking into a bricks and mortar shop. ❤️

August Craft Month celebrates local craft makers around the country and there are events happening in Mayo to celebrate. Sarah Lyons has an open studio to learn aboit ceramics and jewellwey. You can do a tour of FOXFORD to learn from their experienced guides about a century of manufacturing and craftsmanship and Victoria Foutz Bijoux has jewellery making workshops in Westport.
