🌿Horsetail is my in&out forever lifesaver, and the last holidays were a reminder of that:

(Even though I feel sad for losing the videos of me back then sharing the experience, I will still do it in a storytelling way)

🚌While travelling on our camper van, travelling back down from near Merano (North Italy), I noticed an old friend ailment: urine infection.

I knew right away I needed Horsetail, but I wad away from home! I felt hopeless, thinking I would have it hard to find a Herbalism store driving through small towns in an unknown country.

Luckily, my husband reminded me to consider the pharmacies, as they may have some pill made with the extract. 💊

So we stopped on our way at the closer pharmacy in a still German looking town. My mind still thinking of the Irish pharmacies and difficulties to find something herbal, but I asked.

The Latin name of this plant, equisetum arvense, eased the conversation to know what I was getting and for what ailment. 😫 And next thing I see how the shop owner pulls out a bag of loose tea! 🍵 "You've saved my life", I said in broken Italian.

3 or 4 strong infusions within the day made my urine pain go away! 🌟

I remain so grateful to this plant that has given me so much. She has so much to offer, and that is why I love her so much! ❤️ She put me in contact with the other beauties of this plant world.

So the least I could do is to share my travel adventures while camping away from my home apothecary. 🏡

This year, I am getting more into preparing for Winter 🍂

My land provides me with so much 🍎 that I just can't let it rot just because "I am busy".

After all, I live in an Orchard, so this year I really wanted to plan ways to use the apples:

🍎 Dehydrated for granola.
🍏 In the oven as a nice dessert, filled with raisins and peanut butter.
🍎 In my third year in a row making Apple Cider Vinegar.
🍏 Apple crumble that literally disappeared within 1 day.
🍎 In my second year in a row making Wild Jam. 2 times this time, incorporating not only blackberries but Hawthorn berries!
🥬 Then recently we made again Sauerkraut with white and red cabbage, which it'll last us months, and will take care of our gut flora.
🪻The last one is the making of my own liquid smudge: Agua Florida.

So even if I don't have my own space.
Even if I live in a tiny cottage.

❤️ There are so many easy crafts that we can make to have food preserves during winter season.

The work of one hand, the view & experience of many people. 📷

As much as I learn to do better each day, this shampoo bar has done the same to get to its current high-end point.

💚 Back to the days before NAMAWE, around 2018, as I switched to solid shampoo, I wanted to create my own.
Tired of ordering online for that great but tiny bar… and not finding what my scalp needed from local sources, I made the move.

After a couple of failed bars, I created (within Namawe) a 2in1 shampoo and conditioner bar that I could proudly share with my community of Westport.

💆🏻‍♀️ Eventually, I received people asking me for a gentle shampoo for their itchy scalp. This one was a good fit for many, but those difficult cases got me thinking.

🤔 Months after, after seeing this bar being left behind and its essential oils of Peppermint starting to fade away, I made a decision:
The ingredients were mostly great, they had great reviews! But the essential oils had to go in order to be a very gentle bar for sensitive scalp.

After some customer requests to make a tallow based shampoo bar, the confirmation was clear: Goat’s milk and Grass-fed Mayo Tallow would make this gentle bar a better fit for extreme cases. 🤕

👋 I said “bye” to Shea Butter, Babassu and, lastly Cocoa Butter … and I got not only a more local bar, but a very antiinflamatory scalp treatment! 💚

I am so grateful to my customers from day one, because you made this product become what it is today!

The Evolution of Nature goes in hand with my products. So rest assured I do keep notes of all your FEEDBACK , whatever it is. But I do need to know it.

Remembering our Special Day last 8th June.

Having just arrived from a friend's wedding, we got the reminder of our own: just by looking at those special moments and words shared, just as we did on that special day. 💍🎗

It feels special to work in a business in which people care about us as much as our work. ❤️ Because of this, it does not feel that offtopic to share a bit of love on this page, too.

Release today at 👏🏼🌈

If you guys remember, I had a deeper session months ago with my beloved Horsetail. My first deep connection with the plant and how she wanted to thrive. 🌿

Even if I was happy with my first shampoo Horsetail & Rosemary, it wasn't working for me... so I decided to give this herb a new purpose. And it did work! 🥰

Many of my closer people have tried it, those with oily scalp or chemical dyed hair. In my case being oily scalp and fine hair with curls. 🤷‍♀️ Neutral is what it feels like, hydrating and revitalizing. 💆‍♀️

What can I say? I can't stop listening to these plants and my needs.😁

I notice that our hairs do get used to a product, they build up, and then they might need less and less. I keep saying less is more, and for me, it is the right herb, and now with oils that balance my own ones, like Lavender.

So I'm happy to showcase it from today! Only at my store and markets from now.

Remembering the Origins✨️🌿❤️

Today, I was asked to deeply dig into the reasons for doing what I do. ❓️

It felt like digging a hole into the story of my life, but then it felt like a release of unknowns being answered. 

I can't thank enough having a great business coach and how makes you dip into the real power of some business motored by love. ❤️

Love for myself, first of all, and then share it with the community who are on the same vibration (or path) as me.

That's why I do things out of the ordinary (when most are doing vegan products, here I am, in another direction, as I was told recently). ➡️ Heritage

That's why I'm making my wedding out of the ordinary... choosing instead of a hen party, a community of women wanting to release their fears together! ➡️ Women retreat.

I go for change and evolution, and most importantly, reconnection with the Wise Mother, and the Wise women of the past. 🧙‍♀️🌍👵

It is my mission to rekindle that passion for homemade stuff, made for the love of a family or neighbours, not for greed. Because I believe that as long as that is the motor, success will follow, being able to call "job" my every day life.

But of course, remembering that I need to go back to that quiet peace. That quiet mind that needs to recharge in order to help others. 🌲🧘‍♀️🌲

I can't be drained by working every day for others. So I love you for understanding that this business is a one woman show, and if it is going at a different pace, there is always a very powerful reason.😘

This is the job of my life, as long as I love myself first. 🙏
