Knowing God Intimately

The knowledge of God, who He is and what pleases Him, is the longing of every true believer. Throughout the Word of God, it is the person who truly knows God that captivates us and inspires us to new levels of truth.

The obedience of Moses, the boldness of Elijah, the heartbeat of David, and the faith of Abraham came as a result of their intimate
relationship and knowledge of God.

Without question you must purpose in your heart to know God, not with a "puppy-love"
mentality that looks merely for benefits, but with a knowledge of God that brings Him into
the supreme and rightful place of Lord over your life. Both God and mankind long for an intimate relationship together. God reaches out,
and we must reach up.
Rediscovering the majesty of God will be the inspiration for you to seek to know Him.

The prophet Hosea spoke out to Israel and said:

Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land (Hos. 4:1).

God clearly states the cause of His covenant people's falling away. They had allowed the
important issues of life to go by the wayside.

God wanted them restored. He was reaching out to them as He reaches out to you. His
objective is to create in your relationship a sense of confidence and joyful stability.

There is a need to be aware of what brings growth to a person's life. One of the most
damaging wedges between two people is a sense of insecurity because of a lack of

commitment toward each other. God wants you to be aware of His continued commitment to lift your life.

He longs for the commitment of your heart to know Him with an increasing depth. Three
areas promote growth: truth, mercy and the knowledge of God. Where these are lacking
there exists a cold or lukewarm religious form.

Notice in verse 6 what happens when you

lack the knowledge of God: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge ...." The same point is emphasized again in Isaiah 5:13:

"Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge ...."

People are destroyed and taken captive because of a failure to deeply know God and
what He will respond to. The people of Israel had turned away from their knowledge of God and they were reaping calamities, a harvest of
their disobedience. Many Christians today have
failed to understand that their own problems largely are the consequences of the same cause

—lack of a true knowledge of God.

It is not the desire of God for people to live under the fear and pressure of financial and
economic crisis. The fear of what the future
holds has turned many from experiencing joy
to fatalistic depression. The fear of failing health, the dread of divorce, or the mental
torment of dreams crumbling can be an emotional prison.

When people quit compromising their own

desires and begin to set aside the time and exert

the effort to know Who God is, they will be
lifted out of hopelessness into the beautiful life of abundance Jesus came to provide.

God has given specific instructions in order to prevent His people from remaining in
bo***ge:

Acquaint now yourself with Him, and
enjoy peace, by which great gain will come to you. Accept the instruction from His
mouth, and treasure His words in your mind.

If you will return to the Almighty you will be built up; if you will put away
unfairness from your tents, throw your precious treasure to the dust, regard your

gold of Ophir as valueless as the stones of

the brook, and make the Almighty your gold nuggets and your silver ore, then you

will delight in the Almighty, and you will

lift up your face to God.

You will pray to Him; He will hear

you, and you will pay your vows to Him.

When you come to a decision, it will be

established, and light will shine upon you
all the way.

Job 22:21-28

He said, "Acquaint now yourself with

Him." That is the key to peace in your mind

and body. Becoming familiar with Him is the

way in which great gain will come to you in

every area of life.

He is the most precious part of life—

treasure beyond value. When we look to Him,

we have an assurance that He is ever present

and willing to reveal His goodness to us and

surround us with His favor.

Faith in God becomes as common as your

breath. The Bible teaches in Romans 10:17, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God." Why is it that the Word of

God creates faith? It is because every word in

the Bible brings a revelation of Who God is: His
nature, His power, His desires. The words are energized with spiritual power that shows God

to the reader or the listener.

The deeper you know God, the stronger your faith. The struggle for faith is replaced by

the realization that God is faithful and

trustworthy; then your faith develops without a struggle.

Hosea 6:3 says, "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is

prepared as the morning ...." I don't know

anyone who loses sleep wondering if the sun will rise in the morning. When you "press in" to truly know God's character, you discover that

He can be relied on and trusted. He is more

faithful and unchangeable than the rising of the sun each morning.

Developing Relationships

When you know someone, it becomes easy to have faith in them. You know what they will

do.

As a strong relationship develops, you will

find that your likes and dislikes become more

like God's. You enjoy His presence. The more

you pursue knowing the depth of His character

and learn His ways, the more you think like He

thinks and feel His feelings.

It is only natural when two people spend

time together that the person with the weaker

personality begins to take on the character of

the stronger. You are influenced by those with

whom you associate.

The Holy Spirit wants you to allow Him to so overshadow and change your carnal self that through your inner being He can communicate

His words, thoughts, and attitudes; thus bringing your intellect and emotions into

perfect harmony with His will. This will take a

diligent commitment to the Word of God on

your part, as well as a sensitivity to His

promptings.

The way you really get to know anyone is

by spending time with them.
Many people want a powerful relationship

with God, but they will not discipline

themselves to seek God in order to obtain it. So

they feel defeated before they ever begin. They

cannot see themselves really living close to

God. As long as that kind of thinking

dominates them, they are destined to a shallow

Christian experience. But when they begin to

chart the course of their lives and put God first,

they will find Him quickly showing Himself

strong to them.

Proverbs 3:6 from the Amplified Bible says

this: In all your ways know, recognize and

acknowledge Him, and He will direct and

make straight and plain your paths.

As you seek to know Him, you will find the

direction you need. The Living Bible paraphrases

it this way: " In everything you do, put God

first, and he will direct you and crown your

efforts with success." God crowns you with

abundant living when you put seeking Him first.

There is a vast difference between knowing

a person's actions and knowing what is deep in

his heart. It is the same with God. When I speak

of knowing God, I am not merely referring to

His actions, but much more. Knowing God

means knowing His character and qualities;

then, going beyond the recognition of what

they are, an experiencing of those qualities. The

final result will be the reflection of them in your

life.

Psalm 103:7 says, "He made known his

ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of

Israel." Israel saw the mighty acts and miracles

God performed. They witnessed the plagues

upon Egypt, the dividing of the Red Sea, water

gushing from a rock, and the manna sent from

heaven to feed them. They saw miracle after

miracle, and yet they continued to accuse God

and curse His servants.

Moses, however, saw the same miracles but

understood far more. He knew God! Deep

within, he knew a God of righteousness and justice.

What made Moses different? There was a uniqueness about Moses that separated him

from the other men of his day. His prayer in

Exodus 33:13 gives us a glimpse of the desires

that were important to him.

Now therefore, I pray You, if I have

found favor in Your sight, show me now

Your way, that I may know You

[progressively become more deeply and

intimately acquainted with You,

perceiving and recognizing and

understanding more strongly and clearly]

that I may find favor in Your sight .

His heart was so tuned to God that knowing

His outward actions was not enough. Moses

sought such a closeness between himself and

God that he could clearly understand the

desires of God's heart and know what brought joy to Him.

God is looking for people whose hearts are

devoted to Him for Who He is, and not for what He

does. They are the people to whom He will

show Himself strong. The people who want to

bring delight and pleasure to the heart of their

Heavenly Father, and who will seek Him

diligently, will come to understand His ways.

Proverbs 2:1-5 in the New American Standard

Bible gives sound guidance to bring you into an

intimate fellowship with God.

My son, if you will receive my sayings,

and treasure my commandments within

you,

Make your ear attentive to wisdom,

incline your heart to understanding;

For if you cry for discernment, lift your

voice for understanding;

If you seek her as silver, and search for

her as for hidden treasures;

Then you will discern the fear of the Lord, and discover the knowledge of God.

God gives clear direction to act upon. Seek

Him and search for His wisdom as you would

for treasure, then you will discover new depths

of the knowledge of God.

The Apostle Paul was of the same breed as

Moses. He had a longing to become intimate

with God in order to be effectively used by

Him. In Philippians 3:10, there is a prayer very

similar to what Moses had prayed hundreds of

years before. Again in the Amplified Bible,

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him—that I may progressively

become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and

recognizing and understanding [the wonders of His Person] more strongly and

more clearly.

At the time Paul prayed this, he was not a novice in the ways of God. He had spent years

after his conversion preparing for ministry. He had been on many journeys and seen every

type of miracle and manifestation of God. He

had seen visions and even been taken up into heaven to behold things he was not allowed to

speak of on earth. Yet after all these great
things, his prayer and the yearning of his heart

was that he might know Him.

Paul remained humbly teachable by the

Holy Spirit in order that he might understand

the wonders of His Person. What a giant in the

Kingdom of God! Paul never lost sight of the fact that to truly make God known to the world

you must know Him and His innermost nature.

Paul cried out as we do to know the power

outflowing from His resurrection exerted in us

and through us.

Many would try to discourage us with the

idea that we can never really know God

because we are not on His level. But the very

fact that we are made in His image and likeness

means we have the capacity not only to know

Him, but to reveal Him.

The message of the Gospel is that Jesus

Christ came down to the level of sinful man to

lift us to the level of a Holy God. Our hope rests

in what Jesus has accomplished in bringing us

to the level of fellowship with God that He

desired in the beginning. Jeremiah 9:23,24

(NAS) says,

Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise

man boast of his wisdom, and let not the

mighty man boast of his might, let not a

rich man boast of his riches;

But let him who boasts boast of this,

that he understands and knows Me, that I

AM the LORD WHO exercises lovingkindness,

justice and righteousness on earth; for I

delight in these things," declares the Lord.

Throughout God's Word He clearly reveals

that He will give us His wisdom, His might and

His riches, but they are not the areas for

boasting. They are the tools we use to

accomplish things in which He delights:

lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness.

We want the wisdom, might, and riches to

make God known in the earth. But our boasting

must remain in the fact that we can and do

truly know and understand Him.

Daniel said in chapter 11, verse 32, "... but

the people that do know their God shall be

strong, and do exploits." When we know Him,

we can effectively make Him known. I want to

do the exploits of God, reaching up for the

strength, and reaching out to know Him.

Know Him, then make Him known. We are left among men for a season. Let us faithfully represent Him while we are here.

ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ
1 ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ: “ಆಕಾಶವು ನನಗೆ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನ, ಭೂಮಿಯು ನನಗೆ ಪಾದಪೀಠ. ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಇನ್ನೆಂಥಾ, ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಡುವಿರಿ? ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಎಂಥದು?

1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

2 ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯೇ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿತು, ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೇ ಇವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉಂಟಾದವು. ನಾನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನು ಎಂಥವನೆಂದರೆ ದೀನನೂ, ಮನಮುರಿದವನೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರುವವನೇ.

2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

3 ಹೋರಿಯನ್ನು ವಧಿಸುವವನು ನರಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯುವವನು ನಾಯಿಯ ಕತ್ತನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನೈವೇದ್ಯಮಾಡುವವನು ಹಂದಿಯ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಧೂಪಹಾಕುವವನು ವಿಗ್ರಹಾರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಇವರು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಸಹ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ;

3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

4 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ನಾನು ಇವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕುತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇವರು ಅಂಜುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವಿಪತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಕೂಗಿದಾಗ ಯಾರೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಇವರು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.”

4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

5 ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವರೇ, ಆತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ! ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಗಳು, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಲಿ, ನಿಮಗಾಗುವ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ನೋಡೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ; ಅವರಿಗಂತು ಅವಮಾನವಾಗುವುದು.

5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

6 ಇಗೋ, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಗದ್ದಲದ ಶಬ್ದ! ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಬ್ದ! ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವ ಶಬ್ದ!

6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to His enemies.

1 यहोवा यों कहता है, आकाश मेरा सिंहासन और पृथ्वी मेरे चरणों की चौकी है; तुम मेरे लिये कैसा भवन बनाओगे, और मेरे विश्राम का कौन सा स्थान होगा?
यशायाह 66:1

2 यहोवा की यह वाणी है, ये सब वस्तुएं मेरे ही हाथ की बनाई हुई हैं, सो ये सब मेरी ही हैं। परन्तु मैं उसी की ओर दृष्टि करूंगा जो दीन और खेदित मन का हो, और मेरा वचन सुनकर थरथराता हो॥
यशायाह 66:2

3 बैल का बलि करने वाला मनुष्य के मार डालने वाले के समान है; जो भेड़ के चढ़ाने वाला है वह उसके समान है जो कुत्ते का गला काटता है; जो अन्नबलि चढ़ाता है वह मानो सूअर का लोहू चढ़ाने वाले के समान है; और, जो लोबान जलाता है, वह उसके समान है जो मूरत को धन्य कहता है। इन सभों ने अपना अपना मार्ग चुन लिया है, और घिनौनी वस्तुओं से उनके मन प्रसन्न हाते हैं।

4 इसलिये मैं भी उनके लिये दु:ख की बातें निकालूंगा, और जिन बातों से वे डरते हैं उन्हीं को उन पर लाऊंगा; क्योंकि जब मैं ने उन्हें बुलाया, तब कोई न बोला, और जब मैं ने उन से बातें की, तब उन्होंने मेरी न सुनी; परन्तु जो मेरी दृष्टि में बुरा था वही वे करते रहे, और जिस से मैं अप्रसन्न होता था उसी को उन्होंने अपनाया॥ तुम जो यहोवा का वचन सुनकर थरथराते हो यहोवा का यह वचन सुनो:
यशायाह 66:4

5 तुम्हारे भाई जो तुम से बैर रखते और मेरे नाम के निमित्त तुम को अलग कर देते हैं उन्होंने कहा है, यहोवा की महिमा तो बढ़े, जिस से हम तुम्हारा आनन्द देखते पाएं; परन्तु उन्हीं को लज्जित होना पड़ेगा॥
यशायाह 66:5

6 सुनो, नगर से कोलाहल की धूम, मन्दिर से एक शब्द, सुनाईं देता है! वह यहोवा का शब्द है, वह अपने शत्रुओं को उनकी करनी का फल दे रहा है!

ISAIAH 57
10 Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.

10 ನೀನು ನಡೆದು ನಡೆದು ಆಯಾಸಗೊಂಡರೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹೊಸ ಬಲವನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಂಡಿ; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸೋತುಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

11 And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

11 ನೀನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ನನಗೆ ಮೋಸಮಾಡಿದಿ? ಈ ದ್ರೋಹಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ! ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಅಂಜದೆ ಇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬಹುಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೇ ಕಾರಣವಲ್ಲವೇ?.

12 I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.

12 ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ತರುವೆನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ.

13 When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;

13 ನೀನು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಕೂಡಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನುದ್ಧರಿಸಲಿ. ಆದರೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಉಸಿರು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಯ್ಯುವುದು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುವವನೋ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು.

14 And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.

ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಮಾಪಣೆ
14 “ಮಣ್ಣು ಹಾಕಿರಿ, ಹಾಕಿರಿ, ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಿಮಾಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ದಾರಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅಡಚಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಒಂದು ವಾಣಿಯು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.

15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

15 ಸದಮಲನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಾಶ್ವತಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಮಹೋನ್ನತನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಉನ್ನತಲೋಕವೆಂಬ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ನಾನು, ಜಜ್ಜಿಹೋದ ದೀನಮನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು, ದೀನನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ ಜಜ್ಜಿಹೋದವನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ಉಜ್ಜೀವಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

16 ನಾನು ಸರ್ವದಾ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಡೆಯ ತನಕ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೆನು, ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆತ್ಮವೂ, ನಾನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಜೀವವೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕುಂದಿಹೋದಾವು.

17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.

17 ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದೆನು, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ರೋಷಭರಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು; ಅವರೋ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತೋರಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

18 ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿನ ದುಃಖಿತರಿಗೆ, ಆದರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.”

19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

19 ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಯೋಗ್ಯಫಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿ, “ದೂರದವನಿಗೂ ಸಮೀಪದವನಿಗೂ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಿರಲಿ, ಸುಕ್ಷೇಮವಿರಲಿ, ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

20 ದುಷ್ಟರಾದರೋ ಅಲ್ಲೋಲಕಲ್ಲೋಲವಾದ ಸಮುದ್ರದಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರದು, ಅದರ ತೆರೆಗಳು ಕೆಸರನ್ನೂ, ಹೊಲಸನ್ನೂ ಕಾರುತ್ತಲಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

16 ಪೌಲನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಥೇನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವಾಗ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳೇ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕುದಿಯಿತು.

16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

17 ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಪೇಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದವರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿದನು.

17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

18 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಪಿಕೂರಿಯನ್ನರು, ಸ್ತೋಯಿಕರು ಎಂಬ ತತ್ವವಿಚಾರಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಚರ್ಚೆಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು; “ಈ ವಾಚಾಳಿ ಏನು ಹೇಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ?” ಅಂದರು. ಅವನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ತವರು ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವರೆಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ; “ಇವನು ಅನ್ಯದೇಶದ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚಾರಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು” ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

19 ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅರಿಯೊಪಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ; “ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವ ಈ ಹೊಸ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೇ?

19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?

20 ಅಪೂರ್ವವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅದೇನು ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ” ಅಂದರು.

20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.

21 ಅಥೇನೆಯರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪರಸ್ಥಳದವರೂ ಹೊಸ ಹೊಸ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನೂ, ಕೇಳುವುದನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಯ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

22 ಪೌಲನು ಅರಿಯೊಪಾಗದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ; “ಅಥೇನೆಯ ಜನರೇ, ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಾದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅತಿ ದೈವಭಕ್ತಿವಂತರೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತಿದೆ.

22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

23 ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಾ ನೀವು ಪೂಜಿಸುವ ದೇವತಾ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಒಂದು ಬಲಿಪೀಠವು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು; ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ‘ತಿಳಿಯದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿತ್ತು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀವು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

24 “ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ದೇವರು ಭೂಮ್ಯಾಕಾಶಗಳ ಒಡೆಯನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಗುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವನಲ್ಲ;

24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 ತಾನೇ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಜೀವಶ್ವಾಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೀವಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವವನಾಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕೊರತೆಯಿದ್ದವನಂತೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಸೇವೆಹೊಂದುವವನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ.

25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26 ದೇವರು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಅವರವರು ಇರತಕ್ಕ ಕಾಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಗು ಅವರವರ ನಿವಾಸಗಳ ಮೇರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷಿಸಿ ಭೂಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿ,

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ತಡವಾಗಿಯಾದರೂ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಾರೇನೋ ಎಂದು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೂ ದೂರವಾದವನಲ್ಲ.

27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

28 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾವು ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, ‘ನಾವು ಆತನ ಸಂತಾನದವರೇ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29 “ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಶಿಲ್ಪವಿದ್ಯೆಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕೆತ್ತಿರುವ ಚಿನ್ನ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವೆಂದು ನಾವು ಭಾವಿಸಬಾರದು.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30 ಆ ಆಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕಾಲಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಗಣನೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಈಗಲಾದರೋ ಆತನು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಆತನು ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷೆಮಾಡಿದ ಪುರುಷನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನೀತಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನವನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ನಂಬುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಅಂದನು.

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised Him from the dead.
ACTS 17
22 तब पौलुस ने अरियुपगुस के बीच में खड़ा होकर कहा; हे अथेने के लोगों मैं देखता हूं, कि तुम हर बात में देवताओं के बड़े मानने वाले हो।

24 जिस परमेश्वर ने पृथ्वी और उस की सब वस्तुओं को बनाया, वह स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी का स्वामी होकर हाथ के बनाए हुए मन्दिरों में नहीं रहता।

27 कि वे परमेश्वर को ढूंढ़ें, कदाचित उसे टटोल कर पा जाएं तौभी वह हम में से किसी से दूर नहीं!

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

19 ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದಾದದ್ದು ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರೇ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರುವನು.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

20 ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣದಿರುವ ಆತನ ಗುಣಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಅಂದರೆ ಆತನ ನಿತ್ಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ, ದೈವತ್ವವೂ, ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಆತನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ನೆಪವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

21 ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ದೇವರೆಂದು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತನ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಎಷ್ಟೇ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಫಲ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

22 ತಾವು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಹುಚ್ಚರಾದರು.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

23 ಲಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯ, ಪಶು, ಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಸರಿಸೃಪಗಳು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳ ರೂಪಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬದಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

24 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾನಹೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಲಸಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ನಡತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

25 ಅವರು ಸತ್ಯ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಸತ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೇ ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವರಾದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಆತನೇ ನಿರಂತರ ಸ್ತುತಿ ಹೊಂದತಕ್ಕವನು, ಆಮೆನ್.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

ಯೆಹೋವನು ದಿಗಂತಗಳವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕರೆಯುವುದು
18 ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಆತನೇ ದೇವರು. ಭೂಲೋಕವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅದನ್ನು ಶೂನ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿರಲೆಂದು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸದೆ ಜನನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ರೂಪಿಸಿದನು. ಈತನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನಾನೇ ಯೆಹೋವನು, ಇನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

19 ನಾನು ರಹಸ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನುಡಿದವನಲ್ಲ, ಅಧೋಲೋಕದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದವನಲ್ಲ. ಶೂನ್ಯವನ್ನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ, ‘ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಯಾಕೋಬ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯಾನುಸಾರ ನುಡಿಯುವವನು, ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಆಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

20 ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೇ, ಕೂಡಿಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿರಿ! ತಮ್ಮ ಮರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾರದ ಆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬಿನ್ನವಿಸುವವರು ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

21 ಹೇಳಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರುಗಳು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ. ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಅದು ನಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಯಾರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು? ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ? ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಸತ್ಯಸ್ವರೂಪನೂ, ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ದೇವರು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

22 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿಗಂತಗಳವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನೇ ದೇವರು, ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಆಣೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಸತ್ಯದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿದೆ, ಅದು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗದು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನನಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳುವರು, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದೇವರೆಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಮಾಡುವರು.

23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

24 ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯೂ, ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಉಂಟು. ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಗೊಂಡವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟು ಆತನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುವರು.

24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

25 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮೂಲಕ ಸತ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಿ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವರು” ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

ISAIAH 45
18 क्योंकि यहोवा जो आकाश का सृजनहार है, वही परमेश्वर है; उसी ने पृथ्वी को रचा और बनाया, उसी ने उसको स्थिर भी किया; उसने उसे सुनसान रहने के लिये नहीं परन्तु बसने के लिये उसे रचा है। वही यों कहता है, मैं यहोवा हूं, मेरे सिवा दूसरा और कोई नहीं है।

19 मैं ने न किसी गुप्त स्थान में, न अन्धकार देश के किसी स्थान में बातें कीं; मैं ने याकूब के वंश से नहीं कहा, मुझे व्यर्थ में ढूंढ़ों। मैं यहोवा सत्य ही कहता हूं, मैं उचित बातें ही बताता आया हूं॥

20 हे अन्यजातियों में से बचे हुए लोगो, इकट्ठे हो कर आओ, एक संग मिलकर निकट आओ! वह जो अपनी लकड़ी की खोदी हुई मूरतें लिए फिरते हैं और ऐसे देवता से जिस से उद्धार नहीं हो सकता, प्रार्थना करते हैं, वे अज्ञान हैं।

21 तुम प्रचार करो और उन को लाओ; हां, वे आपस में सम्मति करें किस ने प्राचीनकाल से यह प्रगट किया? किस ने प्राचीनकाल में इसकी सूचना पहिले ही से दी? क्या मैं यहोवा ही ने यह नहीं किया? इसलिये मुझे छोड़ कोई और दूसरा परमेश्वर नहीं है, धर्मी और उद्धारकर्ता ईश्वर मुझे छोड़ और कोई नहीं है॥

22 हे पृथ्वी के दूर दूर के देश के रहने वालो, तुम मेरी ओर फिरो और उद्धार पाओ! क्योंकि मैं ही ईश्वर हूं और दूसरा कोई नहीं है।

23 मैं ने अपनी ही शपथ खाई, धर्म के अनुसार मेरे मुख से यह वचन निकला है और वह नहीं टलेगा, प्रत्येक घुटना मेरे सम्मुख झुकेगा और प्रत्येक के मुख से मेरी ही शपथ खाई जाएगी॥

24 लोग मेरे विषय में कहेंगे, केवल यहोवा ही में धर्म और शक्ति है। उसी के पास लोग आएंगे। और जो उस से रूठे रहेंगे, उन्हें लज्जित होना पड़ेगा।

25 इस्राएल के सारे वंश के लोग यहोवा ही के कारण धर्मी ठहरेंगे, और उसकी महिमा करेंगे॥

ಯೆಹೋವನ ನ್ಯಾಯನಿರ್ಣಯದ ದಿನ
5 ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ವಂಶದವರೇ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯೋಣ.

5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

6 ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರು ಪೂರ್ವದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂತ್ರತಂತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗ್ನರೂ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಣಿ ಹೇಳುವವರೂ, ಅನ್ಯದೇಶಗಳವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.

6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

7 ಅವರ ದೇಶವು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದೆ. ಅವರ ನಿಧಿನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಿತಿಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ದೇಶವು ಅಶ್ವಬಲದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದೆ. ಅವರ ರಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಿತಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

8 ಅವರ ದೇಶವು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿದೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೇ, ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

9 ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಜನರು ಅಧರ್ಮಿಗಳಾಗಲಿ, ಉತ್ತಮರಾಗಲಿ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು, ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು. ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬೇಡ.

9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

10 ಗವಿಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯಂಕರತನಕ್ಕೂ, ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಮಹಿಮೆಗೂ ಹೆದರಿ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಿತುಕೋ.

10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

11 ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಗರ್ವದೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ತಗ್ಗಿಹೋಗುವುದು, ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಅಹಂಕಾರವು ತಗ್ಗುವುದು. ಯೆಹೋವನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತೋನ್ನತನಾಗಿರುವನು.

11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

12 ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನ್ಯಾಯನಿರ್ಣಯದ ದಿನವು ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವುದು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು.

12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

13 ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವದಾರು ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಷಾನಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲ್ಲೋನ ಮರಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ,

13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

14 ಶಿಖರಗಳನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ,

14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

15 ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಸಕಲ ಗೋಪುರಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಭದ್ರವಾದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೋಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ,

15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

16 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ತಾರ್ಷೀಷ್ ನ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಅಂತೂ ನೋಡತಕ್ಕ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ವಸ್ತುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಆ ದಿನವೂ ತಪ್ಪದೇ ಬರುವುದು.

16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

17 ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಗರ್ವವು ಕುಗ್ಗುವುದು. ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಅಹಂಕಾರವು ತಗ್ಗುವುದು. ಯೆಹೋವನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತೋನ್ನತನಾಗಿರುವನು.

17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

18 ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವವು.

18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

19 ಯೆಹೋವನು ಭೂಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ನಡುಗಿಸಲು ಏಳುವಾಗ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಭಯಂಕರ ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೂ, ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಮಹಿಮೆಗೂ ಹೆದರಿ ಬಂಡೆಗಳ ಗವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನೆಲದ ಹಳ್ಳಕೊಳ್ಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

20 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂಜೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಂಗಾರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಇಲಿ, ಬಾವಲಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ಬಿಡುವರು.

20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

21 ಯೆಹೋವನು ಭೂಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ನಡುಗಿಸಲು ಏಳುವಾಗ, ಆತನ ಭಯಂಕರಕ್ಕೂ, ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಮಹಿಮೆಗೂ ಹೆದರಿ ಬಂಡೆಗಳ ಸಂದುಗೊಂದುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಚೂಪಾದ ಶಿಖರಗಳ ಕಡಿದಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೂ ನುಗ್ಗುವರು.

21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

22 ಮೂಗಿನಿಂದ ಉಸಿರಾಡುವ ತನಕ ಬದುಕುವ ನರಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಾನನಲ್ಲ.

22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

6 तू ने अपनी प्रजा याकूब के घराने को त्याग दिया है, क्योंकि वे पूविर्यों के व्यवहार पर तन मन से चलते और पलिश्तियों की नाईं टोना करते हैं, और परदेशियों के साथ हाथ मिलाते हैं।

12 क्योंकि सेनाओं के यहोवा का दिन सब घमण्डियों और ऊंची गर्दन वालों पर और उन्नति से फूलने वालों पर आएगा; और वे झुकाए जाएंगे;

13 और लबानोन के सब देवदारों पर जो ऊंचे और बड़ें हैं;

14 बासान के सब बांजवृक्षों पर; और सब ऊंचे पहाड़ों और सब ऊंची पहाडिय़ों पर ;

15 सब ऊंचे गुम्मटों और सब दृढ़ शहरपनाहों पर ;

16 तर्शीश के सब जहाजों और सब सुन्दर चित्रकारी पर वह दिन आता है।

17 और मनुष्य का गर्व मिटाया जाएगा, और मनुष्यों का घमण्ड नीचा किया जाएगा; और उस दिन केवल यहोवा ही ऊंचे पर विराजमान रहेगा।

18 और मूरतें सब की सब नष्ट हो जाएंगी।
यशायाह 2:18

19 और जब यहोवा पृथ्वी के कम्पित करने के लिये उठेगा, तब उसके भय के कारण और उसके प्रताप के मारे लोग चट्टानों की गुफाओं और भूमि के बिलों में जा घुसेंगे॥

20 उस दिन लोग अपनी चान्दी-सोने की मूरतों को जिन्हें उन्होंने दण्डवत करने के लिये बनाया था, छछून्दरों और चमगीदड़ों के आगे फेंकेंगे,

21 और जब यहोवा पृथ्वी को कम्पित करने के लिये उठेगा तब वे उसके भय के कारण और उसके प्रताप के मारे चट्टानों की दरारों ओर पहाडिय़ों के छेदों में घुसेंगे।

1 ಬೇಲ್ ದೇವತೆಯು ಬಾಗಿದೆ, ನೆಬೋ ದೇವತೆಯು ಕುಗ್ಗಿದೆ, ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಪಶುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ, ನೀವು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವುಗಳು ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾರವಾದ ಹೊರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳು ಬಳಲಿದವು.

1 Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.

2 ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕುಗ್ಗಿ, ಬಗ್ಗಿವೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಾರದೆ, ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಒಳಗಾದವು.

2 They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.

3 ಯಾಕೋಬವಂಶವೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮನೆತೆನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಸಂತಾನವೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತು, ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ.

3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

4 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನ ತನಕ ನಾನೇ ಆಧಾರ, ನರೆ ಬಂದಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಸಹಿಸುವೆನು. ನಾನೇ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆನು, ನಾನೇ ಹೊರುವೆನು. ಹೌದು, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಸಹಿಸಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವೆನು.

4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

5 ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ನಾನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನೆಂದು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೊಡನೆ ಹೊಲಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ?

5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?

6 ಚೀಲದಿಂದ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಸುರಿದು, ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ತೂಗಿ, ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದಾಗ, ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು, ಅವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಗಿ ಪೂಜೆಮಾಡುವರು.

6 They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmi
