Sharing a few facts about persons with autism:
1. Each child is unique and neurologically wired to see the world differently. Accept it.
2. The child can succeed in classroom and beyond. Support and encourage them.
3. The child may or may not want to interact. Understand and respect them.
So proud of our students of Baking & Cooking unit for making and selling products like chocolates, envelopes and digitised art like coffee mugs, bookmarks and notepads!! 👏👏
Surely these three young men with Down Syndrome have taken another step forward in showcasing their abilities. We are with them in this step. Best way to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!!🎉🎉🥰

10th Annual Day of Vimarsha, a truly memorable one too!🙏The event was a huge success, thanks to the hardwork and dedication of the students and teachers, and certainly the parents/families and our patrons who joined and encouraged us despite heavy rains. Many thanks to you all!!💐🙏💐
The theme this year was Colours of Heaven. It was amazing to see the children display tremendous confidence on stage, during the skit as well as the dances. Also, our young achievers who have excelled in academics (10th & 12th exams) were felicitated by Mrs. Rekha Rangarajan. Devesh kept the audience captive as he sang a solo song and gave a short tabla performance. The programme ended with a grand finale dance- a foot tapping number, Des Rangeela.

What a treat for us at Vimarsha Charitable Trust today... None other than Mala Kumar, popular children's writer and former editor of Pratham Books conducted a fun-filled and engaging storytelling session! Mala also generously donated books for our library.❤️
Children enjoyed trying to catch the naughty frog in "Croak" as well as finding the beautiful buffalo in "Beauty is missing". A big thank you from all of us at Vimarsha to Mala who kept us all engrossed the whole time. We hope you visit us again with more stories!🙏

It was a very special teachers day celebration indeed! The students planned and executed the whole thing and we had no clue!! The thoughtful and heartfelt gifts, cake, speech and game 🥰. It’s so heartening to see them grow up to be such warm, dynamic and capable individuals. Thank you children!!🙏💕

Presenting this year’s beautiful collaborative artwork by all the students of Vimarsha... all unique hands together make a lovely tree of unity ❤️.
Today, on Kargil Vijay Divas, we revealed to our students that we have a hero among our midst. Anitha mam, the wife of Col. M. B. Ravindranath, Vir Chakra awardee, gave a short talk about the importance of this day. He was such a humble person who supported us all along. We are also proud and fortunate to have the brave and strong Mrs. Anitha Ravindranath in our Vimarsha family.
We paid our respects to all the true heroes who guard our country and keep us safe every day. We also watched a video.
We ended with a cheer! A circle and road in Davanagere, the birthplace of Col. Ravindranath were named after him just a few days ago, on 23rd July 2022.
