Bhai Roop Chand Sr. Sec. Public School celebrated the festival of 'Hariyali Teej' in school campus on 19th August, 2023. On this occasion Ex student, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur was the "Guest of the Day". The girls (Nursery to XII) were beautifully dressed in traditional attires. The entire program was based on traditional Punjabi folk songs and dances. The occasion began with Mehandi Competition. It was followed by distinct zesty cultural activities that graced the occasion. The children embellished in beautiful traditional dresses performed Giddha, Bhangra and many solo songs to meet the fervor of the moment. Thereafter Ms. Teej Contest for senior girls was performed. Everybody enjoyed the program and the event was a grand success. Principal Dr. Arvind Sharma congratulated the teachers and students for the wonderful cultural show. He extended warm wishes on behalf of the honourable Chairperson, Bibi Joginder Pal Kaur Ji and the management. Vice Principal, Ms Monika Birla proposed the Vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of the entire team for the success of the program.

Teej festival is a yearly celebration that marks the advent of monsoons or Sawan. It is also called the festival of swings. The festival of Teej is synonymous with mehndi adorned palms, flowers, bangles, bandhani dupattas and mouth-watering sweets. Young girls and women wear traditional attire and get together in the evening to sing and dance.

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great joy and fervour in BHAI ROOP CHAND Sr. Sec. PUBLIC SCHOOL. On this day, the school campus and the stage was nicely decorated to meet the fervour of the occasion. Children presented melodious patriotic group songs and power pack dance-drama with a relevant social message. It was inspired by the campaign of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi " Meri Mati Mera Desh".
The poise and confidence of students was appreciated by one and all. Principal Dr. Arvind Sharma congratulated all the participants for their outstanding performances and reminded all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for freedom. The Vice Principal, Ms Monika Birla delivered the Vote of Thanks to acknowledge the hard work of all the students, teachers and the Admin staff for the success of the programme. .🇮🇳 🇮🇳

English Declamation competition was held today at BRC under three categories.... Seniors ( 11th & 12th), Juniors ( 9th & 10th), Sub Juniors ( 6th to 8th).It was a great opportunity for the students and many aspiring candidates actively participated with great zeal and zest.

Today 14th August is the Birth Anniversary of our patron, Late Dr. Bhai Sahib Bhai Lal Singh ji Baghi.... On this occasion, the school staff offered prayers and flowers at the samadhi and profoundly remembered him..... Cakes and sweets were distributed to the students. Dr Baghi ji has done ample social works for the development of the local community and uplifted the people from their poverty. He is immortal in the heart of people and will always be so...
