Shivaji Maharaj’s bravery and valour will keep inspiring generations to come. Tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his 394th Birth Anniversary.

The Oriental School campus bubbled with excitement and religious fervour as the Orientalites celebrated Basant Panchami on 14th February, 2024 which is a famous festival that marks the end of the winter season and ushers in the springtime. The students gathered together and revered Goddess Saraswati ~ Goddess of Knowledge & Wisdom seeking her blessings for success in academics, creative pursuits and enlightenment. They offered prayers to the deity and participated in the festivities. The students hailed the blessings of Goddess Saraswati through melodious renditions and Dance performance. The whole place burst with a pious aura with yellow hues for the festival.

The colour yellow holds a special meaning for this celebration as it signifies the brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life. Junior Orientalites from the Pre-primary till Grade II dressed in radiant shades of yellow worshipped Goddess, added ebullience to the celebrations.

The Oriental School organized the Blessing Ceremony for the first high school batch of 2023 today 14th Feb 2024, marking Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja. A Havan was organised to invoke the blessings of the Almighty and to boost up the morale of the students.

This day of Saraswati Puja was a solemn occasion to mark an important milestone in the academic journey of our young scholars. It was an occassion to celebrate their growth, achievements, and potential.

Honorable Chairman of OGI, Mr. Praveen Thakral motivated and blessed the students. He advised the students to stay calm and concentrate on better learning and to practice legible handwriting. Talking to parents, he asked them to support and help the students overcome the examination stress. A small token as blessing was given to students.

On this occasion The Principal, Ms. Swapna Aphale discussed the code of conduct and advised students to study with full concentration.

The Blessing Ceremony on Basant panchami was conducted to bless students as they embark on their academic pursuits. The ceremony also served as a reminder for them to embrace responsibility, challenges, and constantly strive for excellence.

The parental support was encouraging and motivating. The day ended with distribution of Hall ticket and clicking of class group photograph.
