Giria saga is one type Wild green vegetable in mangrove forest area. I saw it near Kandarapatia village in Jambu, Kendrapada. People say it is very good for health. During cyclone time when people have nothing to eat they collect this and manage their hunger. As they told, if you it eat sufficient like rice there will no stomach problem. It can be digested easily.
The taste of the saga is saline. So the process to prepare is boil the leaves, through the water, again wash with fresh water and stain all the saline water and then prepare any dish, it is quite tasty as told by people.
Hearing about the speciality of this leave, I was curious and visited the area by walking about half kilometer , saw this and also collected some. I will prepare the dish and will taste to know how it is tomorrow
