“I can and I will achieve my dream one day,” says Jayabalan anna, who drives an ambulance at our college.

Jayabalan anna chose to work at KCT as a matter of convenience and to make ends meet at first, but it has become so much more than that now. He says that driving an ambulance is more like a service than work. It feels much more fulfilling to work with and for students in a college full of young people doing many great things.

“One thing I want to convey to students and young people is to be safe,” he says. “Please don’t drive rashly. The way young people drive nowadays scares me.”

Receiving calls at all hours doesn’t faze him; it’s his love for driving that keeps him going. “It never feels like a burden,” he shares. “I’ll be there within two minutes, anytime. Their thanks mean the world to me. A simple thanks is what makes the worker’s day.”

Despite holding two degrees, he chose to drive. He has been driving for the past twenty-one years because his passion lies in driving. He managed a fleet of 27 cabs for a large tech company here, but he got dealt the worst hand by COVID-19.

He says, “My dream was to successfully own and run a business, but due to a huge loss, I haven’t achieved my dream yet. But I believe I can and I will achieve my dream one day.”

In a world full of “CAN I?” his unwavering “I CAN” echoes loud and clear.

Meet our alumnus, a mechanical design and engineering enthusiast whose journey at KCT was a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering dedication. His college life at KCT can be best described as disciplined, where every moment was an opportunity for learning and development.

One of the most unforgettable incidents during his time at KCT was when his team emerged victorious as the Champions of the FMAE National Level Electric Bike Design Challenge. His exceptional leadership as the captain of 20 students propelled them to success and earned him the Technical Star Design – Achiever’s Award, a truly well-deserved compliment for his dedication and skills.

Reflecting on his experiences, he expressed gratitude and regret towards Kiran anna, thanking him for believing in his leadership abilities while shouldering the responsibility as captain, yet humbly acknowledging and apologizing for the mistakes made in the garage.

Undoubtedly, the presence of Kiran anna as Garage Executive & In charge is something he dearly wishes to have back at KCT.
Embracing the four years at KCT, my most significant learning remains patience. I strongly believe that punctuality is an attribute every individual must possess, a principle that has guided me through my journey. To my juniors, I advise embracing setbacks as learning opportunities. Don't be disheartened by late progress or project failures; instead, focus on extracting valuable lessons from these experiences. Learn from the mistakes, as they often pave the way for substantial growth and development. This perspective has been my guiding light, allowing me to navigate challenges and transform setbacks into stepping stones toward success.

Meet Chithrakala akka, hailing from the heart of Metupalayam. Every day, akka embarks on a two-hour journey to her job as a lady guard at Kumaraguru Institutions. Two years of unwavering dedication and countless sacrifices have brought her to where she is today.

Why did she choose this path? In her own words, "I started my security training at KCT Girls' Hostel. Each day, as I step into work, the world outside fades away. I become as vibrant and energized as the students here."

Akka’s story is one of dedication and love for her job. However, it isn't without its challenges. The daily two-hour commute is a tough endeavor, met with skepticism from her family. Despite the hurdles, she persists because she loves the positive environment and the connections she makes with students. Twelve-hour shifts, early mornings, and late nights have become her routine.

Her bond with the students is heartwarming. She maintains a strong rapport with the students, making their day brighter with every interaction. Even in the face of difficulties from some students, she chooses to focus on the positive aspects.

She says, “It's not just a job; it's a daily celebration. This work never feels like a burden to me. It's like hosting a function at your home, having guests over, enjoying conversations with everyone. That's what it's like here. It's like a daily celebration.”

When asked about her dreams, she says, "I am from a generation where we were not taught to dream, but it is refreshing to see this new generation with so many dreams." She shares with happiness as she finds herself in a college filled with a million dreams.

Join us in celebrating the unsung heroes like Chithrakala akka, who make a significant impact on the lives of students every day.

Sakthipriyanka - Electronics and communication engineering of Batch 2022 is currently working as an Associate Software Engineer at BOSCH.
She describes her college life as, "A roller coaster ride. It wasn't just about a degree, it was a chance to rediscover myself"
The series of memorable incidents are the days working for DA ECE, Day- Night Yugam days, representing KCT in sports and obviously as an hosteller,
she would cherish the moments that she spent with her friends there. Without KCT and the enormous opportunities present there, she wouldn't be able to connect with many
curious minds which has changed her in many ways. She was able to keep her passion alive.
KCT is the key that helped her to unlock her shell and explore things out of her comfort zone. Those 4 years was proper blend of improving technically,
exploring leadership and creating memories with people she met. She hopes that she has given her fullest in whatever responsibilities that she had taken up.
From being a clueless introverted girl sitting in the audience seat during the first year to the achievers stage in the auditorium receiveing the special recognition award,
was indeed a transformative journey. Now its the "Being Grateful" part. She thanks, all the curious minds around her for always questioning her on Whats next? and never
let her settle for the ordinary. She thanks JC sir, members of management, Faculties of ECE department, friendly seniors, beloved juniors and ever supportive
friends for the constant motivation. Her biggest learning is," Two things that will determine you is your determination to progress when you have nothing and your attitude when you have something."
She concludes with a small note to the juniors --
1.Never hesitate to take up any opportunity that comes to you.
2. Be humble and open to learn from mistakes

As we gathered at our college campus, a palpable sense of anticipation filled the air. It was here that we began to share our expectations and aspirations for our upcoming college life.

Dhiksha Mohan, an aspiring energy scientist in the field of biomimicry, currently conducting nanomaterial research on graphene-based batteries at Terracarb, Coimbatore.🔬🥼

From being the Former President of DA-EEE, a part of Studio KCT, Band Agratha 🎤, Iqube🖥️, Leadership Council, Kumaraguru Microcosm, a brief period at KCT cricket wing, Forge incubator intern, Ananta Aspen fellow, and Mahatma Gandhi Scholar to receiving the Best Outgoing Student of her department and the Achiever's award, Kumaraguru has been a humbling, reviving, awakening and a healthy journey for her.

She loves Kumaraguru's trees and grass and loves hugging them whenever she’s there. They were a very important part of her journey at KCT. Meditating with her friends at the prayer hall, during the free hours is yet another memory that she loves.🌲🧘‍♀️

She constantly received the words from her professors, classmates, and young people she worked with at KCT: You are destined for something great, you are bigger than you think would be the best compliment in her college life.

On top of her mind, one person she forgot to thank was a paati who used to keep the Kore clean because she didn't get the chance to.
Kumaraguru's assets are its people. She’s very fond of Miss Monisha, Mr. Nethaji, and Mr. Nivethan for many untold and silent marks that they leave in students' lives, through their subtle yet powerful thoughts and actions every day.

Kumaraguru has given her all the opportunities possible to express herself and She has expanded her consciousness in the given environment, reached her highest potential, and grown to be the woman and citizen that she is today.

Personally, she believes life at KCT doesn't start after 5 p.m. It's not just about clubs and forums. It's about who you are and how you're willing to transform. It starts when you truly realize and connect with what's around you. And, it will begin to start every day when you wake up. Ctd in captions…

Prakash Ganesan - EEE Alumni of KCT

Meet an extraordinary individual whose life at KCT can be summed up in one word: "Enriching." Currently pursuing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and IT with a specialization in Automation at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany, this passionate and energetic student has set their sights on revolutionizing the robotics industry.

During his time at KCT, he thrived in an environment that fostered personal growth and development. At CLED, a consistent feeling of comfort and productivity surrounded him, thanks to the unwavering support of remarkable individuals like Monisha akka, dedicated LC members, and other friends .

One of the most heartwarming compliments he received was from his juniors, who hailed him as the "coolest senior" and praised his approachability. This charisma, combined with the guidance of mentors like Shankar sir, brought about opportunities and insights that were truly unparalleled. The time he spent with Shankar sir, especially during Aspen, was profoundly inspiring. Monisha akka, more than just a staff member, became a cherished friend with a vibrant personality. His teaching staff, particularly Anushree ma'am, exhibited extraordinary care and patience, offering assistance in various aspects of his academic journey. And let's not forget his fellow LC/CLED peers, who formed an unshakable support system throughout his college life.

This individual's impact on KCT extended beyond his personal growth. He contributed significantly by introducing major events like Shark Tank, which achieved national success, and by streamlining the process for their juniors to organize smaller events.

His journey in KCT also imparted essential life lessons. He learned the value of being present, taking time to appreciate the little things amidst the bustling college schedules.

Mukesh Kumar completed ElE - batch 2022 and currently working in Accenture as Associate Software Engineer.

KMAC inauguration, Last hurrah of Yugam’22 and Achiever’s Award was the most treasured moments for him.

During the last few days at KCT, when JC Sir said "You are a perfect KCTian, and you can proudly say Ennoda KCT". A staff said, " KCT will never be the same without you for me". 😌

He wants to thank everyone at Kumaraguru Institutions for shaping him over the course of four years. He also wants to thank Jana Anna in particular since he helped him join the Yugam 2020 team, which gave him a tremendous start and inspired him to accomplish more. He is grateful to JC Sir for always supporting him when he had an idea to start something new. Also The KCT Boxing Team, OSA, Super 60, Kumaraguru Sports Team, Department of EIE, and Department of Physical Education, notably Anna's, Akka's, and Juniors, have his gratitude.🙏🏻⚡️

Without KCT, he wouldn't have had the same level of confidence and clarity in setting up his goals.
He also tells that the friends he met in KCT are like his family , although people there never share the same age bracket. KCT assisted him in discovering his own leadership style, identifying his strengths and areas for improvement, as well as helping him overcome stage fright.🤩

Having started e-sports in Yugam and Kumaraguru Martial Arts Centre makes him delighted.
Day 1 at KCT reminded him of his first day as a boy from Port Blair in the Andaman Islands who was nervous and with different questions in mind. The finest parts of his final year’s were staying up all night during YUGAM, late dinners, and storytelling. His final day’s in KCT was the day’s he had his nostalgic memories going on in his mind.🥹

The biggest learning in these 4 years are
1️⃣The way others treat us is fully dependent on the way we treat others.
2️⃣Never lose hope because great things take time to happen.

He wants to convey to his juniors that “Try to engage in any athletic or fitness pursuits; they serve to bring out many admirable attributes”, and in his opinion, A Playground is far more than a thousand books.🎯

Nishank - Mechanical Engineering of batch 2022 attended the IGC selection camp in NCC and was Cadet Sergeant. He was completely involved as the student lead in KI's huge institutional initiatives, namely, The Orb and The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial and the KI time capsule. He is currently working as Program Associate in Forge Innovation and Ventures helping Defence Tech startups solve problems faced by the Defence Ecosystem of India.⚡️

The most memorable incident in KCT for him was in his final year after he had finished setting up the first-ever Indian Navy Band performance of the Defence Career Expo. His parents had met Shankar sir for the first time during an event. As they were listening to Shankar sir speak about him, he saw his father’s eyes well with tears of pride. To see such a strong show of emotion from his father, a career Army officer, who’s very conservative with any show of emotion was surreal, to say the least.😊

In a meeting about the Defence Career Expo when he was presenting to the Institutional huddle after seeing the success of the event Shankar sir said, “Now the people of power in Delhi know that there is a college called KCT somewhere in South India and in this college, there’s a boy called Nishank and it is dangerous to disagree with him.”

He'd like to offer his sincerest gratitude to Shankar sir, Cmde Rajiv Choudhry sir, Dr Sivakumar sir, Nishanth Anna, Nivethan Anna, Jana Anna, Sundar Anna, and Monisha Akka for their unwavering assistance and unconditional support. 🙏🏻✨

KCT is an atmosphere that encourages students to be aggressive go-getters and step out of their comfort zone and achieve great things.🤩

KCT has given him the rarest and most important thing an ambitious boy like him could ever want an ocean of opportunities. 🌊

Cmde Choudhry was instrumental in connecting with the defense ecosystem allowing him to gain a lot of contacts that have greatly simplified the process of him becoming a DefTech entrepreneur and achieving his dream.🎖️

The biggest learning for him in KCT has been trusting people, he met some amazing individuals whom he could trust with important tasks.💥

“If you keep working at it, if you keep moving forward, you will achieve what you want.”🌟

Poompavai R, batch 2018-2022, completed B.Tech Biotechnology and currently working as Software Engineer under Life Science and Healthcare in HCL Technologies, Chennai.

Through discovering her latent qualities and developing her talents, life at KCT helped her grow from a playful adolescent girl into a strong, resilient young woman.

From the first day of enrollment at KCT until the last day of the final semester, everything was a picture of delight, bringing back memories of strolls around Kumaraguru while grasping the vibrant hands of friendship, education, and mentoring.
The last year of organizing enlite 22, ignite 22, and Yugam 22, and enjoying the fortunate happy days with her friends from junior courses are mostly depicted in the narrative of her college life. 🤩

She extends her thanks to everyone at KCT who helped bring her to this position, particularly her mentors Dr. K. Kumaresan, Dr. D. R. Maninariman, and her teacher Dr. R. Baskar for supporting her in her quest for academic excellence. She would most like to express her gratitude to Nivethan Anna, Monisha Akka, and Nethaji Subash Anna for standing by her side through all of her highs and lows. 💫

She would want to go back to those times when she spent hours practicing and having fun dancing and creating memories. Amidst all these, the dance floor and the OSA during the YUGAM is where she got a family to reminisce about her life at Kumaraguru.

KCT is the place that Ignited her journey of becoming a Clinical scientist by adding the wings of technical research skills along with, bringing her leadership skills out, being the Student Research Associate at Rè, President of the department at LC which made her through the Special Recognition Award, Academic Gold Medal, Best Outgoing student of the department and more. Through this, she has now taken her first step toward achieving her dream. 🎖️

Just remember, " KCT is an ocean, just swim and learn through the ebbs and tides, definitely you will reach the destined Island of success." 🌊❤️
