Shah Jahan, also known as Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram, was the fifth Mughal Emperor of India who ruled from 1628 until 1658. He is remembered for his architectural legacy, which includes the construction of the Taj Mahal, one of the most iconic buildings in the world.

Shah Jahan was born in Lahore, in present-day Pakistan, in 1592. He was the third son of Emperor Jahangir and was originally named Khurram. He received a quality education in various fields, including Persian and Arabic literature, mathematics, and science. He was also trained in the art of warfare, which would serve him well later in life.

In 1612, at the age of 20, Khurram was married to Arjumand Banu Begum, also known as Mumtaz Mahal, who was his first cousin and a great beauty. The couple had a strong and loving relationship, and Mumtaz Mahal became a trusted advisor to the emperor.

In 1628, following the death of his father, Jahangir, Khurram ascended to the throne as Shah Jahan. He inherited a prosperous empire but was faced with several challenges, including the threat of rebellion and opposition from his own sons.

Bahadur Shah Zafar was the last Mughal emperor of India, who ruled from 1837 to 1857.

He was born on 24 October 1775 in Delhi, India, and his full name was Abu Zafar Sirajuddin Muhammad Bahadur Shah Zafar.

Bahadur Shah Zafar was a talented poet, calligrapher, and artist, and his court was a hub of intellectual and cultural activity.

He was a patron of the arts and literature and encouraged the growth of Urdu poetry and literature.

Bahadur Shah Zafar was a religious and spiritual person who believed in the unity of all religions and often composed poetry that reflected his spiritual beliefs.

In 1857, Bahadur Shah Zafar was declared the leader of the Indian rebellion against British colonial rule, also known as the Indian Mutiny or the Sepoy Mutiny.

After the British quelled the rebellion, Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled to Rangoon, Burma, where he died on 7 November 1862.

Bahadur Shah Zafar's legacy is celebrated in India and Pakistan as a symbol of resistance against colonialism and his poetry continues to be read and admired by many.
