Skilling Rural Youth for a Better Tomorrow!

Empowering rural youth is at the heart of Atmashakti Trust's work. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we welcomed passionate youth volunteers, our 'Young Eagles,' into our journey.

As we continue our work with the Young Eagles, we are dedicated to further enriching their skills and employability. We collaborated with the Rural Self Employment Training Institute and successfully organized training sessions in the Koraput, Malkangiri, and Kandhamal districts of Odisha.

187 Young Eagles participated in these sessions, gaining valuable skills in wire rebinding, two-wheeler vehicle repair, driving, and mushroom farming. Their enthusiasm to become self-employed and drive socio-economic development in their villages is truly inspiring.

We thank the Rural Self Employment Training Institute and eagerly anticipate more enriching collaborations.

Together, we can shape a brighter tomorrow for rural communities!

Anganwadi - the lifeline of rural India

Ensuring good infrastructure in Anganwadi centers is not just an investment in physical buildings; it's an investment in our children's future. These centers are where young minds take their first steps toward learning and growth. They should be safe, nurturing spaces with well-equipped classrooms, hygienic kitchens, clean drinking water facilities, and playgrounds that inspire exploration.

Quality infrastructure not only promotes early education but also supports the health, well-being, and safety of our children. Let us all advocate for this essential upgrade, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive in a conducive environment.

Together, we can, as a community, create a brighter and more promising future for our little ones.

Anganwadi - A lifeline of rural India!

Every child deserves a space where their imagination can take flight, where they can explore, learn, and have fun. A safe, fun environment is essential for their growth and well-being.

In these nurturing spaces, children build confidence, make friends, and develop vital life skills. We need to invest in “Safe Spaces” for our children.

Let's all work together to make this possible!!

Anganwadi - A lifeline of rural India.

Nutrition is the cornerstone of a child's healthy development.

In the early years, proper nutrition is crucial as it provides the building blocks for physical growth, cognitive development, and overall well-being. It fuels their bodies and minds, helping them reach their full potential. Good nutrition paves the way for this bright future.

Request the Odisha Government to ensure adequate nutritional allocation of all Anganwadi Centres across Odisha.

Spread the Hope!

Amid the challenging times of COVID-19 school closures, Bikash Pradhan emerged as a source of inspiration in Tualapada Village, Narla Block, Kalahandi District, Odisha, India. Recognizing the vital importance of uninterrupted education, Bikash, an educated youth, selflessly volunteered his time to teach primary students.

With the support of NVS Kalahandi, a people's collective, Bikash initiated the 'Mo Chatashali' learning center in his community. Today, he teaches 15 students from Classes 1 to 8. His commitment not only fills their young minds with valuable lessons but also provides a sense of routine and normalcy.

Bikash's dedication to education and deep compassion for the students he teaches are commendable. His actions stand as a powerful testament to the transformative impact of volunteering on individuals and communities.

Gratitude to Bikash and the countless others who have stood by their communities during times of need. As we progress in our journey, we cherish these invaluable partnerships and look forward to achieving many more milestones together.

Together, we can create a brighter future for all.

Do our children dream of a school where their hearts would dance with excitement and their imaginations would soar with joy?

In September 2023, we conducted a series of sessions engaging with over 500 young children at 61 Mo Chatashali (supplementary learning centers) across 11 districts of Odisha. Representatives from the education department, Panchayati Raj Institutes (PRI) members, School Management Committee (SMC) members, parents, and community leaders participated in the programme.

Through interactive sessions, the children drew their IDEAL School on paper. The drawings, bursting with vibrant colours, unveiled a shared dream – schools adorned with gardens, playgrounds, big trees, and even bright yellow walls.

We found that children yearn for a school where joy, learning, and growth go hand in hand. It is important for all of us to nurture the dreams of these young minds and work together to make their dreams come true.

Together, we can!

Can we cultivate more Prafula’s? Can we get all farmers on the path of sustainable growth like him?

Prafula is a farmer from Boudh District in Odisha. In 2022, he embraced second-crop farming, and the results have been nothing short of transformative. Through second cropping, Prafula not only cultivated a richer harvest but also reaped additional financial benefits that have significantly improved his quality of life.

Today, he is a contented farmer, and his success story echoes the potential for prosperity that second cropping brings. Prafula's journey is an inspiration, underscoring the sustainable impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

All we wait for is support from the Odisha Government to help more farmers achieve financial stability and sustainability like Prafula.

Only time will tell!

Empowering Farmers for Sustainable Rural Development.

Farmers in Odisha have been asking for support with second cropping since July 2023. Today is the last day of November, and numerous farmers across districts are still yet to receive seeds for second cropping.

Based on a sample survey of 2165 farmers, nearly 100% have shared that Nov-Dec is the best time to sow seeds for a robust and bountiful harvest.

Plea for support are still coming in for immediate distribution of seeds. Will hear the collective voices of the communities and take them on a path of progress and growth?

Farmers are waiting for your SUPPORT!!

Farmers Progress....Nation Progress!

Over 23,333 farmers in 2022 received seeds from the Odisha Government for the second cropping, bringing financial benefits according to a yield analysis on 4,005 farmers. This year, a survey of 2,165 farmers out of the 4005 farmers revealed an astounding 88% intend to practice second cropping.

Imagine the untapped potential if such a survey were conducted statewide!

Can the Government ensure every interested farmer gets free seeds, leaving no one behind? Empowering every farmer through second cropping not only transforms Odisha but sets a shining example for the entire nation.

Let's make an empowered Odisha a beacon for all!

Support Farmers for Second Cropping!!

Timely access to seeds is pivotal for the success of second cropping as it directly influences the agricultural calendar. Farmers depend on this critical window to sow seeds and optimize growing seasons. Delayed provision not only disrupts their schedules but also jeopardizes the overall yield potential.

Our teams in different districts of Odisha are meeting officers of the Agriculture Department and requesting quick allocation of seeds.

, we urge swift allocation and distribution of seeds.
