"Teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it's about fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued."
With this belief and a vision to create nurturing environments where every child feels valued and supported on their learning journey, our Learning Support Services Team recently conducted a dynamic workshop on "Inclusion" with our primary teachers.
Through engaging discussions, case studies, role plays and insightful videos, the workshop deepened our teachers' understanding of inclusion within their classrooms. Emphasizing the importance of using appropriate terminology and mindful actions, our teachers left with plenty of food for thought, ready to dive deeper into the topic.

The English Department’s annual theatrical production is back!
Theatre integration in language education allows students to be more than just spectators - they become part of the play, translating words into action and exploring drama’s elements. This experiential learning builds confidence and understanding of stage dynamics like light, sound, and movement.
Our Grade 8 students immersed themselves in an 8-day theatre workshop, culminating in two captivating performances: Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” taking the audience on a magical journey filled with curious characters and Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest,” blending high farce with witty dialogues to question the societal norms.
Don’t miss out on the blend of entertainment and insight these talented students bring to the stage! Sharing a few glimpses.
Founded by our visionary leader, Shri N.C Jain, The Heritage School embodies his dream of fostering a learning community grounded in enduring values. Today, on his birthday, we pay tribute to his vision and leadership, sharing it with the world.
What an incredible collaboration!
Breaking down economics for our younger learners was an absolute blast for our Senior School students. Our Grade 11 students brought economics to life for our younger learners through an engaging play. They teamed up to create a captivating skit, turning complex concepts into simpler and more relatable scenes for Grade 4. From demand and supply to responsible consumerism, they covered it all with creativity and enthusiasm.
Big thanks to the educators and students for making this collaboration possible. What started as a normal chat between two teachers resulted in a fantastic collaborative learning experience. Kudos to our talented students for their leadership and empathy in sharing knowledge!
Let’s rejoice in the harvest festivals with enthusiasm and gratitude for the gifts of nature.
May this special day usher in joy, prosperity, and happiness for you and your dear ones. Here’s to a year brimming with success, peace, and well-being.
Happy Baisakhi, Pohela Boishakh, Bohag Bihu, and Pana Sankranti & Vishu !

These techniques included keyword searches on search engines, utilizing databases and academic journals, consulting government reports and statistics, and conducting interviews with experts or individuals affected by the issue. The presentations were comprehensive, incorporating reliable sources and showcasing creativity.

Our Grade 10 Business Studies students recently embarked on a field trip to Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. in Manesar. Throughout the visit, students were immersed in the practical application of their classroom knowledge. They engaged in a guided tour of the factory, witnessing first-hand the implementation of various operations management concepts. From supply chain dynamics to quality control strategies, witnessing these processes first-hand helped deepen their understanding of industry operations. Interactive sessions with factory personnel provided them with insights into real-life applications of these concepts, complemented by engaging Q&A sessions. This experiential learning opportunity not only deepened their understanding but also underscored the significance of operations management in today's context. We believe that such experiential learning opportunities are invaluable in enriching our students' educational journey and undoubtedly contribute to their overall learning and development.

Advancing Literacy, Teachers College, Columbia University hosted a three-day writing institute in Mumbai this February focusing on significantly enhancing writing instruction for grades K- 8: "Teaching Writing with Precision, Genre Expertise, and Joy".
Over those three days, our Primary & Middle school educators learnt cutting-edge techniques to act as powerful mentors nurturing young writers across narrative, informational and argument genres.
Instructors Heather Burns and Beth Hickey offered hands-on guidance on using mentor texts, shared writing, and interactive writing to support genre expertise, grammar and conventions. The event was a transformative experience, equipping educators with the essential pedagogies required to foster budding writers.
We believe such opportunities not only enhance educators' valuable skills and knowledge but also equip them with a comprehensive roadmap to infuse personal narratives, informational writing, and literary essays into the curriculum.
Congratulations to Avira Bhatt from Grade 9 and Shivansh Gupta from Grade 10 for their remarkable achievement in qualifying the regional round of the esteemed Oxford Schools' debate competition in India.
Run by the Oxford Union, Oxford Schools' is the largest British Parliamentary school-level debate competition in the world, aimed at students aged 14-18.
Throughout the competition, our students showcased their adeptness in articulating thoughts and structured reasoning across various topics, mirroring the format of the British Parliament. While they didn't clinch the top spot, reaching the finals amidst stiff competition from 113 teams is indeed commendable. Their involvement in this renowned competition not only highlights their individual talent but also underscores the invaluable benefits of engaging in debating, such as honing critical thinking, and communication as well as self-expression skills. We applaud the dedication and contribution of our educators and students in upholding the rich tradition of fostering intellectual discourse and challenging thought.
Embracing diversity and celebrating unity at HIXS!
On Saturday, HIXS celebrated Festival of Nations, where students, teachers and parents representing district cultures shared their rich cultural backgrounds through performances, games, food stalls and experience centres. Each cultural contribution paints a distinct stroke on the canvas of our vibrant HIXS community.
It was a day infused with love, laughter, and boundless joy, marking a memorable occasion for all.
Our Grade 7 students are back from their outward bound learning expedition- KHOJ- to Sariska (Alwar, Rajasthan). The trip had everyone bond over physical, interpersonal and reflective activities. This outdoor learning expedition was an extension of the school’s endeavor to provide wholesome development of a child’s personality and to bring the students closer to the real and tangible context of their surroundings. The expedition provided an immersive and captivating experience through adventure and activities that trigger self- awareness, followed by powerful reflection sessions that helped them gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and areas to work upon, forming a clearer picture of who they are. You can tell from the photos what a fun trip it was!
Our little explorers of Nursery recently had their exciting field trip to a petting farm. They delved into the world of animals intrigued by their features and lives. We had up-close experiences with emu, pony, pheasants, geese, silkie hen and bunnies and enjoyed feeding them, too! During reflection time, the students discussed why it is so important to be compassionate, responsible and caring for our furry friends. Heading back to school, they carried a newfound appreciation for animals, while eagerly anticipating their next adventure.
