This event provides detailed information on "Entrepreneurship and Funding Opportunities". It was an enlightening and very informative session for our faculty, where they learned from our expertise Mr. Rishi Kumar, Centre In-charge, ACIC SGTU Community Innovation Centre, provides detailed information on the opportunities available to SGT faculty members and associated staff on entrepreneurship and various funding opportunities available at the SGT university. Association of Pharmaceutical information under the aegis of SGT College of Pharmacy organized an exclusive expert lecture on understanding pharmacokinetics in clinical practice by the legendary professor Dr DK Majumdar on 23rd May 24 at SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT university .Lecture emphasized on the very basic concepts by using fundamentals of ionized and unionized drug in body depending upon the pH of absorption site& discussed about DDI (Drug-Drug Interactions) in both aspects ofpharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics with some interesting sentences. lecture was concluded with a vote of thanks and a big loud applause from students and faculty members of SGT college of Pharmacy.This event was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy and co- convened by Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Setya, & Dr kavita attri as Advisors Dr Sreelakshmi & Ms.Geeta Rawat as Co -advisors & students council of API.

SGT college of Pharmacy organized a field visit to Catalyst Clinical services PVT LTD, Pitampura , Delhi on 25/05/24 for M Pharmacology students. The visit was an educational endeavour aimed at enhancing the students understanding of the practical aspects of clinical research and the operations within a clinical setting. The students were given a guided tour of the facility and provided an overview of the documents required in the clinical trials. The visit was convened by Prof Vijay Bhalla , Dean SGT College of Pharmacy , Prof Sushma Chaturvedi, HOD , Pharmacology and coordinated by Dr. Silky Sethy and Dr.Sonika Shrivastav.

Pharma Innovation and Incubation Association under the aegis of SGT College of Pharmacy organized a Guest lecture on "Blood Product: Collection, Processing and Storage of Whole Human Blood" on 20th May 2024 at D Block, SGT University, Gurugram. The lecture on blood products by Col(Dr.) Deepika Gulati Manoj, Head of the Dept. of Biochemistry, Military Base hospital, Delhi Cantt provided an overview of the blood product, Whole human blood their processing and storage conditions. The session emphasized and enhanced the knowledge of student and provided them with better understanding of the topic. The event was Convened by Prof (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Advisor Dr. Runjhun Pallavi and Coordinated by Dr. Manvi Singh, Dr. Reena and Ms. Nikita.

Our students ( Pharm. D and M. Pharm) of SGT college of Pharmacy are going to participate in poster presentation on topic “Unleashing the future of Clinical Research” organized by Fortis CSR Foundation (Clinical Research Division) in collaboration with Sanofi India on the occasion of International Clinical Trials Day on 20th May 2024 (Monday) at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Okhla, New Delhi.

This event will comprise of lecture cm talk by few eminent scientists and well renowned doctors in the field of clinical research including a small session by Sanofi team.

This visit will provide the students invaluable insights into clinical research operation, enhancing their knowledge by interacting with eminent speakers and industry professionals.

SGT College of Pharmacy had organised a guest lecture on the theme” Decoding genetic blueprints “for the students of Pharmacy on 15 th May 2024 at D block SGT university, Gurugram. The lecture on decoding genetic blueprints by Prof(Dr.) Moumita Sardar , department of Microbiology , FMHS, SGT University provided a comprehensive overview of the processes involved in understanding and interpreting the genetic information encoded within DNA. The session emphasized the significance of genetic decoding in various scientific disciplines, from basic biology to advanced biotechnology and the applications of PCR . The event was convened by Prof (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Prof (Dr.) Sushma Chaturvedi and coordinated by Dr. Sonika Shrivastav and Dr. Vaibhav Walia . The Association of Pharmaceutical Information, under the aegis of SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University, is organizing a field visit to the Primary Health Care center at Garhi Harsaru. The aim of the visit is to provide students with exposure to Primary Health Centre services and help them understand their functioning, including the facilities and services provided to rural communities. The event will be coordinated by Dr. Sreelakshmi, with Dr. Sonal Setya and Dr. Kavita as advisors, and Ms. Geeta Rawat as Co-advisor, along with the student council of API under the convenorship of Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla.

SGT College of Pharmacy in collaboration with NRSC- Medical, SGT University had organised a two-day hands-on-training on "Basic LifeSaving Techniques" for pharmacy students. This event was meticulously designed to impart essential skills in first aid, CPR, AED usage, and treatment for diverse medical emergencies. Through interactive sessions and hands-on demonstrations, students gained a comprehensive understanding of emergency response protocols. The training equipped participants with the confidence and competence to assess and address medical emergencies effectively. By emphasizing the importance of swift action and proper intervention, the workshop aimed to empower pharmacy students to contribute meaningfully to emergency healthcare settings. With a focus on practical application, the training fostered a proactive approach to patient care and emergency management. Overall, the workshop underscored SGT college of Pharmacy and NRSC-Medical commitment to equipping future healthcare professionals with the necessary tools and knowledge to save lives and mitigate the impact of medical emergencies.

The main of this training to familiarize and to gain practical knowledge on basic wound dressings and First-Aid , Dealing with trauma cases with ABCDE concept and QCPR ( Quality Cardio Pulmonary Rustication) plus AED ( Automatic External Defibrillator) and Basic life support.

Having a exposure on above said techniques SGT College of Pharmacy is committed to evolve students as Community as well as Social Pharmacists resulting in contribution of nation health.

Today SGT College of Pharmacy conducted a workshop/ hand's on training on the theme "Computer Aided Drug Design" at D- block, SGT University. The event was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla & Prof. (Dr.) Sushma Chaturvedi and coordinated by Dr. Avneet Kaur, Dr. Ritu Mishra & Dr. Sonia Yadav.
The event included workshop by distinguished speaker Dr. K C Sharma, who enlightened faculty members and students about CADD. He explained that CADD is multidisciplinary approach for drug discovery and optimisation based on the knowledge of structure, ligand and pharmacophore. The event ended with vote of thanks by Prof. ( Dr.) Sushma Chaturvedi.

Alumini association of Sgt University (AASGTU)&SGT college of pharmacy,SGT University is organising a workshop for the students for cracking the GPAT Exam.This workshop will inspire and motivate the students as to how to appear in the exam, and moreover, it will encourage the students for a better perspective after bachelor's in pharmacy.

By the departmental association “Pharma innovation and incubation association” under aegis of SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University, Gurugram at TV studio Bblock at 10:30 onwards welcome address by the Principal and Dean Dr Vijay Bhalla who enlightened and motivated the students and faculties on the topic of Traditional and alternative system of medicines. Then the presentation by the guest speaker Dr Sangeeth Somanadhapai (Professor and Dean, Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram) commenced who elaborated the fundamental principles of naturopathy, emphasizing the holistic approach to healthcare encompassing mind, body, and spirit. Concepts such as the healing power of nature, identifying and treating the root cause of diseases, and promoting prevention were discussed in detail and highlighting nutraceuticals the role as nutritional supplements with medicinal benefits.
As future pharmacists, a comprehensive understanding of these alternative healthcare modalities and their integration with conventional medicine are essential. The session presented a valuable opportunity to delve deeper into these subjects, to explore their principles, applications, and evidence-based practices. The session concluded with a discussion on the integration of naturopathy and nutraceuticals with conventional medicine, highlighting the potential synergies for comprehensive patient care.

Students of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D), SGT College of Pharmacy are excited to be a part of the official launch of comprehensive online course on ‘Rational use of medicines’ developed by World Health Organisation (WHO) India Country Office in collaboration with Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at THSTI on 30th April 24.
The objective of this event is to facilitate student engagement and learning by connecting them with stakeholders such as national and state regulatory authorities of India from Central Drug Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), World Health Organization (WHO) and Translational Health Science & Technology Institute (THSTI).
The primary goal is to provide students with insights into the essential elements of rational medicine use and the regulatory policies guiding them, thereby enhancing their understanding of pharmacy practices and patient care.

Herbokon association under the aegis of SGT College of Pharmacy SGT University organised an industrial visit to Sterile India Pvt Ltd, Kundli, Sonipat on 18th April, 2024 with a vision to foster innovation, research and entrepreneurial activities in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and related areas.

Sterile India Pvt. Ltd is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. It is integrated research based pharmaceutical manufacturer with specialization in development and manufacturing of sterile active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company has strong regulatory division for all kinds of dossier support and is committed to highest standards of quality. Demonstration and operation of UV and FTIR spectroscopy are important for analysing molecular structures and chemical compositions with high accuracy and specificity, essential for various scientific fields including chemistry, materials science, and pharmaceuticals. The workshop focused on demonstrating and operating FTIR and UV spectroscopy, providing students with hands-on experience in diverse analytical techniques, fostering deeper understanding and practical skills in spectroscopic analysis. SGT college of Pharmacy, SGT University, Gurugram organized an industrial visit to Vardan Enviro Net, Manesar on 11th April, 2024. Vardan Group is a leading EIA & EHS accredited consultant by Quality Council
of India and Ministry of Environment & Forests (under EP Act 1986). Vardan Group also provides reliable and precise testing services for a wide range of Environmental parameters, Food & Agriculture, Drug & Pharmaceutical & Building Materials. A group of 20 M. Pharm students along with 02 faculty members visited Vardan Enviro Net, Manesar. The visit provided students an opportunity to witness the concepts taught in lectures materialize into tangible processes, Sophisticated instruments like LC-MS, GC-MS, ICPMS,HPLC, AAS and innovations.

Herbokon association as well as Pharma innovation and Incubation association under the aegis of SGT College of Pharmacy in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), SGT University organised an industrial visit to Department of Anatomy, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi on 28th March, 2024. The aim of the visit was to give exposure to students on various advanced analytical technology available in Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility (SAIF), AIIMS. The session was conducted by Dr Prabhakar Singh and his team under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Tapas Chandra Nag, Officer in charge, Electron Microscope Facility, AIIMS. Students learned advanced analytical technologies such as Scanning Electron microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) that are beneficial for their research work. These techniques are powerful tools in the field of material science, nanotechnology, biology and various scientific disciplines. SEM and TEM offer high resolution imaging capabilities, allowing visualisation of surface morphology and observation of fine surface features such as microstructures and surface defects.

The student industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt Limited, organized by SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University Gurugram, offering a comprehensive understanding of probiotic production processes. Students had the opportunity to observe the manufacturing process of probiotic beverages and learn about quality control measures. Engaging discussions with industry experts provided valuable insights into the role of probiotics in promoting health. The visit emphasized the practical application of pharmaceutical concepts in a real-world setting. Overall, it was a valuable experience that enriched students' understanding of industrial operations in the pharmaceutical sector.
