"Day 3" In June 15th, 2024, the IMNCI Hands-on Training Workshop was held to enhance nursing students' proficiency in pediatric healthcare, focusing on outpatient care. Dr. Shalu Gupta and Dr. Sahil Goyal led a session demonstrating oral medication administration through role-play and effective communication techniques for mothers. The workshop boosted attendees' competencies, offering a vital platform for skill development in child health management. Students' enthusiastic participation underscored the success of this educational effort. Post-event feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the workshop's value in equipping future nurses with practical skills for neonatal and childhood illnesses.
"Day 2" On June 14th, 2024, IMNCI Hands-on Training Workshop aimed at equipping nursing students with practical skills in managing neonatal and childhood illnesses, with a focus on outpatient care. Led by Dr. Shalu Gupta, a National IMNCI Trainer, students gained real-world experience through hospital visits and live case training. Dr. Sahil Goyal conducted a session on teaching mothers how to administer oral medications at home using role-play and effective communication techniques. This workshop significantly enhanced attendees' competencies in pediatric healthcare, providing a valuable platform for skill development and knowledge application in child health management. Students' active engagement highlighted the success of this educational initiative.
"Day 1" the Wellbeing Club of the Community Health Nursing Department and the Bridgewell Club of the Child Health Nursing Department Hosted an engaging IMNCI Hands on Training Workshop on 13th June 2024 at the NRSC simulation centre, SGT University. The workshop was designed to equip Nursing students with practical skills for managing neonatal and childhood illnesses, emphasizing outpatient care. Dr. Shalu Gupta, a National IMNCI Trainer and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, led a comprehensive session on assessing and classifying sick young infants. Dr. Sahil Goyal, a National IMNCI Trainer and Assistant Professor in Community Medicine, conducted an insightful session on identifying and treating illnesses in young infants. The workshop significantly enhanced attendees' competencies in pediatric healthcare, fostering a valuable learning experience for all participants.
Three days hands-on workshop on Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood illness (IMNCI) from 13 June -15 June be organised by the wellbeing club and bridgewell club of the SGT University - Faculty of Nursing
Hands-on Training session on "IV Cannulization and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation: Crucial Steps in Emergency Care" organised by the Faculty of Nursing at SGT University, Gurugram, on 8th June 2024 by esteemed alumna expert, Ms. Nitu Yadav, presently working as a Clinical Instructor at Medanta, The Medicity Hospital, Gurugram at TV Studio, B Block from 10:00 am onwards. The objective of hands on training was to emphasize the critical importance of IV cannulization and CPR in the domain of emergency management, providing students theoretical understanding and a dynamic environment for its practical application. The event witnessed the active participation of 110 students. The training helped participants to delve deep into the intricacies of intravenous cannulization and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, mastering techniques crucial for emergency care.
Lecture series-III on the topic “Interprofessional Research Collaboration” organized by The Holistic Care Club, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University, on 08th June 2024 from 9:30 A.M to 11:30 A.M in room no. 107, D block. Lecture delivered by Dr. Sheeba Varughese, Advance Nurse Practitioner, (MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas, USA) on Interprofessional Research Collaboration. She elucidated on key skills, core competences for interprofessional collaboration and its Benefits collaboration in the translational medical research, Nursing Research & Challenges faced in interprofessional research collaboration. It was an interactive session where participants asked questions.
Orientation Session on “Opportunities of Studying Abroad” by International Development Programme (IDP) organized by the Placement committee, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University, Gurugram.
Faculty of Nursing, an on 6 June 2024, SGT University, the objective of this guest Lecture was to enhance student’s understanding regarding pursue higher education in Abroad. They got the knowledge the minimum requirements, criteria of different countries (UK, USA, Austrila, New Zealand, Canada). This guest lecture went into detail on the admissions process in several nations. The guest speaker expanded the students' perspectives on study abroad options and professional pathways.
The floor was finally opened for student questions and answers session. All the queries settled down and very well explained. The guest lecturer provided excellent answers to all of the questions.
Environment Awareness Drive On June 5, 2024, organised by the Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with an environmental committee . The event was graced by Mr. Virendra Yadav, Chief Medical Officer of the Gurugram Health Department, and Dr. J.P. Rjjliwal, Deputy Civil Surgeon of the Gurugram Health Department. The activities included tree planting and a role-play activity at the Sub Divisional Hospital in Farukh Nagar, Gurugram. Additional activities such as pot decoration, a poster competition, and a fashion show were held at the H Block Auditorium, SGT University. The program aimed to raise awareness about the most pressing environmental challenges and inspire solutions.

Educational visit to the “National Brain Research Centre (NBRC)” on 3rd June 2024 organised by The Department of Mental Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University. The objectives of the visit was to enhance students' understanding of brain structure, functions and its variations in healthy and diseased states, utilizing multidisciplinary approaches and ongoing research at NBRC. The visit began with a warm welcome and introduction to NBRC’s mission, facilities and ongoing research projects. A guided laboratory tour showcased cutting-edge research tools and experiments. Dr.Navodita Jamwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health Dentistry delivered health education on quitting to***co use and its harmful effects on oral health.More than 40 factory workers were screened during the event.

Day 2 of Menstrual Hygiene Campaign and Talk Show with Theme “TOGETHER FOR A ” is organized by the Faculty of nursing ,SGT University on 28 May 2024 at TV Studio B block. The Talk Show and Trivia Game was organized by the students. The aim of the event was to create awareness and to break the stigma amd taboos about menstruation. We distributed 200 pens and 250 menstruation bracelet across the SGT University. Talk Show was done by the students of nursing where they put light on various aspects of the menstruation and Myths/Facts related to menstruation. The event was successfully concluded by creating awareness about menstruation and with menstruation bracelet break the silence around menstruation.

Interactive Session on Menstrual Health and hands on training on making period tracker awareness about Menstrual practice among the students of Govt Senior Secondary School, Daultabad, Gurugram organised by the Holistic care club under the Department of Nursing Foundation, FNUR,in collaboration with Samajik Vikas SGT ka Prayas (SVSP) & Institution innovation Council (IIC), SGT University, Gurugram with the aim of promoting healthy practices, and provide practical skills through an interactive session and hands-on training on making period trackers.
Nursing students has performed Nukad Natak on Myths & facts and Health Education to raise awareness.

An awareness program on the prevention and management of hypertension at CHC Farukhnagar, Gurugram was organized
On May 17, 2024, by the Wellbeing Club under the Department of Community Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University, Gurugram. The primary objective was to educate participants about hypertension, a major public health concern, with a focus on prevention and management strategies. Following the introduction, GNM Internship Students presented a roleplay scenario showcasing practical measures for preventing and controlling hypertension. This engaging approach effectively demonstrated tangible strategies for addressing this health issue.
The Faculty of Nursing at SGT University, Gurugram, orchestrated an enlightening session on the topic "Career Pathways & Transitions": Alumni Talk Series by alumni expert, Ms. Mansi, currently working as a Nursing Officer at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. on 17th May 2024 at the Hospital Auditorium, from 11:00 am onwards. The objective of this session was to provide students with firsthand perspectives and experiences by successful alumni who have traversed various career paths and undergone significant transitions. In today’s session, our expert reflected on the career pathways and transitions that have multifaceted aspects of professional development that encompass a wide array of experiences, decisions, and adaptations individuals undergo throughout their working lives.The session drew the participation of over 200 students. The interaction served as an invaluable platform for our students to glean profound insights from someone who has already traversed the path they are about to embark on.
Workshop on “Stress Buster” among School Student’s on 17th May 2024 from 10:30 am onwards at TRH Public School, Badli, Haryana was organised by the Pflege Club, Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, Faculty of Nursing SGT University in collaboration With Faculty of Behavioural Science, SGT University.
