Grade II students organized a delightful cupcake sale during the 'Parents' Walk-in' event, directing the proceeds toward addressing hunger and poverty by supporting the visiting NGO and providing breakfast for our guests.
The spirit of generosity continued with grade 1 students embracing SDG 3 by generously donating healthy food items, stationery and books to these children. This initiative aimed not only to address immediate needs but also to instill a sense of shared responsibility and kindness in our students.

The ‘Parents’ Walk-In’ event for Grade III commenced with a soul-stirring melodious song delivered by the choir. The confident Suncitizens, our students, oriented the parents on the theme of the event - SDG 12, emphasising their commitment as responsible global citizens striving to make a positive impact. They beautifully demonstrated how all their learning, spanning various subjects, is seamlessly interwoven with the Sustainable Development Goals.
In their unique style, subject groups exhibited their commitment to SDG 12, incorporating subject-specific content. The students’ eloquent language, striking props, imaginative costumes, compelling narratives and dramatic performances were among the event’s standout features. They effectively conveyed their message, touching the hearts of everyone present and gaining support for their mission of achieving SDG 12—Responsible Consumption and Production.
Parents were full of praise and pleasantly surprised as their children not only performed exceptionally but also imparted valuable lessons on responsible consumption.
Grade IV students at Suncity school, follow Transversal learning approach. They recently showcased various activities and projects woven around the theme of SDG-12, Responsible Consumption and Production in the Parents’ Walk-in . The students took the lead in teaching and explaining the concepts they had learnt in the previous month to their parents, fostering confidence. This hands-on experience also cultivated 21st-century skills like critical and creative thinking through research , collaboration, communication while enhancing their ability to present to an audience.
The exploration of SDG-12 heightened their awareness of responsible consumption and understanding of waste management; taking them a step closer to becoming responsible global citizens. Students quizzed their parents, played edu based games with them and encouraged them to create poetry during this interactive session. As a token of appreciation, parents received samples of lemon pickles. A product the students made in class while studying food preservation. The day was filled with tremendous learning, excitement, joy and accolades from the parents, making the project an incredibly fruitful experience. In keeping with the popular proverb- Teaching is the best form of learning... the students completed their circle of Transversal education.
Body-kinesthetic activities are integral to the holistic development of young children as they promote physical health and enhance cognitive and social skills. In this regard, a bodily-kinesthetic event was organised for students of the Junior Elementary Years Programme. The event included intra-class competitions for kindergarten, nursery, and pre-nursery students. Kindergarten students participated in the 'Dino Dig' race, while nursery and pre-nursery students took part in 'Roll to Rescue' and 'Go Bananas!' respectively. Every student had the opportunity to participate in the event and three students from each section were selected to compete in the inter-section bodily-kinesthetic event. This event showcased the students' enthusiasm and zeal as they engaged in physical activities. The bodily-kinesthetic event served as a valuable platform for young children to develop essential motor skills, coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship.
In the classroom, young explorers are setting sail on an adventure through the world of maps. Armed with curiosity, children uncover the mysteries of continents, oceans and distant lands. As they trace their fingers across maps, their imaginations take flight and they embark on a journey that fosters both knowledge and a lifelong love for geography.
On September 25th, 2023, Suncity School proudly honoured a group of outstanding students, spanning grades I to XII, with the esteemed privilege of dining with our Director, Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, at Barbee Que Times Sec-51. This exclusive luncheon celebrated the theme 'Uketamo,' epitomising exemplary behaviour and values. The event was a wellspring of inspiration, motivating both the fortunate attendees and the entire school community. It reinforced the spirit of achievement and the rewards of dedication and hard work. The Central Board of Secondary Education recently hosted a two-day National Summit on September 19th and 20th, 2023, at the prestigious ICAR Auditorium. The event featured engaging panel discussions with renowned speakers and launched the inaugural Skill Expo, providing schools from across India a unique platform to spotlight their students’ talents.
Our school’s exhibit shone brightly as we skillfully showcased Mass Media skills interwoven with themes such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sustainability, innovation, branding, and more. Notably, Saanvi Dhingra’s entrepreneurial venture, Cinderella’s Shop, received the Diana award for its groundbreaking fusion of entrepreneurship, sustainable innovation, design thinking, and gender empowerment.
Setting us apart, our school organized four interactive games focused on SDGs, Media Quiz, branding, and communication. Visitors eagerly participated, composing tweets and crafting taglines. We received praise for our innovative projects, exceptional artwork, and the confidence and warmth of our student volunteers.
Grade 8-A’s rising star, Shaina Singhal, took center stage at the State level Roll Ball Skating Competition hosted by South Point Public School in Sonipat on September 17th and 18th, 2023. With finesse and determination, she twirled and skated her way to a well-deserved Bronze medal, leaving the audience in awe of her incredible talent. Shaina’s remarkable achievement not only reflects her unwavering commitment but also stands as a radiant source of inspiration for budding athletes aspiring to leave their mark in the realm of roller skating.
The Science and ICT week saw a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of activities that imparted a bevy of learning and left the students with questions to explore new avenues of knowledge and the intriguing connection between skills and Applications. The assembly began with a prayer and thought, delving into the quantum entanglement of consciousness. Through a jocund skit the students humorously discovered that AI is not ‘All In’, highlighting the limits of artificial intelligence. The representation of SDG- Life on land through the dance performance ’Elements of Earth’, they brought forth the essence of our planet to life ; manifested by graceful movements. The school was honored to have Dr. Raksh*t Tandon as the keynote speaker, who enlightened all with his profound knowledge of technology. Everyone witnessed the strength of unity through the rendition of the ‘Silent National Anthem’.

सनसिटी विद्यालय में हिंदी दिवस का उत्सव विशेष धूमधाम के साथ मनाया गया। छात्रों ने अपनी कला और प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन करके सबका मन मोह लिया।माननीया निदेशिका रूपा चक्रवर्ती महोदया जी और अतिथि, प्रोफेसर डॉक्टर सारस्वत मनीषी जी के कर-कमलों से सनसिटी विद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा स्वरचित पुस्तक ‘मनाकाश’ के विमोचन से वरिष्ठ वर्ग की प्रार्थना सभा का उद्घाटन किया गया| इस दिन होने वाली विशेष प्रार्थना सभा के मुख्य आकर्षणों- दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के दौरान श्लोकोच्चारण, नाटक (अक्स), अंतरसदनीय वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता (जंग न लगने की जंग), प्रश्नोत्तरी (सवाली दुनिया) और नृत्य (भारत का विकास) को उमंग और उल्लास से भर दिया| इस समारोह में हिंदी भाषा के महत्व को बढ़ावा दिया गया और छात्रों को राष्ट्रीय भावना का महत्व भी समझाया गया।

Gurugram U17 Girls Chess team, under the dynamic leadership of Riddhika Kotia from Suncity School, achieved a remarkable feat by securing the Gold Medal at the SGFI State Chess Championships 2023 held in Kurukshetra on September 8th and 9th. Their exceptional performance is a source of immense pride and inspiration for the entire team of Suncity School.
She also won the gold medal in the national trials that were held on the 9th of September and got selected as the Captain of the Haryana team for the National School Games (SGFI).
