SDG and E-waste management - RecyclEarth Foundation E-waste management forms an integral and crucial part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set out by the United Nations.

Smt. G.B Ankalkoti GFGC, Shiggaon is conducting an E-waste Collection Campaign in Shiggaon. This joint initiative is to help our state fight the dangers of improper E-waste management.

We call on the people from Shiggaon and surrounding areas to participate in this weeklong collection drive and make it a success.

Mr. Ajay Singh from Dharwad is our latest He has also helped us by spreading the word about our initiative in his neighborhood. A word about him, he is a cycling enthusiast and has covered 600kms within 40 hours twice. Samaritans such as him will help us in making Hubballi-Dharwad a cleaner and greener place to live and thrive.

Vijayanagara Distric Chamber of COmmerce and Industry, Vasundhara Kirloskar, Rotary Club Hampi Pearls had organized a 15 day E-waste collection campaign which ended with an E-waste awareness session which was attended by dignitaries and students of various schools and colleges from Hospet.
The entire event was also supported by Kirloskar Ferrous, Priyadarshini Hotels amongst a host of other environmentally conscious individuals and entities from Hospet.

Various people and entities have expressed their interest in conducting awareness and collection drives in the near future.

Ayudha Pooja is special because this festival celebrates and worships the various devices that we use on a daily basis to progress and prosper.

Apart from celebrating and worshipping the Ayudhs, it is also our duty to make sure we give them a proper sendoff after they have reached their end of useful life period.

RecyclEarth Foundation makes sure that all the devices we collect are recycled and the recovered material is brought back into our economy.

The sixth International E-waste day would be celebrated in Hospet with a two week E-waste collection and awareness drive.
We request everyone from Vijayanagar District to come forward and donate their E-waste.
The collected material will be then sent for formal recycling thus making sure we reduce our dependency on natural resources and imports.

This activity will also help in promoting the concept of circular economy and sustainability amongst the general masses.

KLE BBA Dharwad concluded their week long E-waste collection drive on 10th October. Students enthusiastically donated unusable gadgets for responsible recycling.

The weeklong collection drive in Maratha Mandal Polytechnic concluded with prize distribution and an educational session on waste management.
The prizes were sponsored by Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute - EMPRI. The entire event was a grand success. The collected material will be sent to EcoKaari - Humanising Fashion for upcycling.
