As a healthcare professional, I took the opportunity to raise pertinent questions regarding health-related issues in our city.

It was heartening to witness Mr. Lalwani's call for increased voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing the importance of every voice and every vote.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed personalities including Deputy Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh High Court Indore Bench, Archana Kher, and former Mayor Dr. Umashashi Sharma, alongside many other distinguished women from our vibrant city.

In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court has taken a firm stance against misinformation and false promises in the healthcare industry.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has filed a contempt case against Patanjali Ayurved Limited for misleading advertisements, and justice is finally being served!

📆 Let's rewind to March 2020, amidst the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patanjali shockingly claimed that more COVID patients died due to the provision of oxygen to them, and later launched Coronil tablets as a supposed cure for the virus.

However, investigations revealed that Coronil was not government-approved, leading to its ban after widespread distribution and damage.

💊 But that's not all!

Patanjali ventured into treating conditions like blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid with their unverified tablets, putting countless lives at risk.

Patients suffered unforeseen consequences, prompting the IMA to take action and bring this issue to the highest court in the land.

🔬 As a medical professional, I emphasize the crucial role of research in healthcare.

While no pathy is inherently bad, Patanjali's reckless actions highlight the dire consequences of baseless claims and inadequate research.

💡 Let this serve as a wake-up call for Patanjali and all healthcare providers.

Claims must be rooted in rigorous research to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, as Baba Ramdev & Patanjali are not the only ones; in rural and interior areas, innocent and illiterate people are often misled by unscrupulous "jhola chaap" doctors.

Let's strive for integrity and transparency in healthcare, steering clear of false promises and unverified remedies.

🙏 Hope Patanjali learns from this ordeal and refrains from repeating such grave mistakes.

As a medico, there have been numerous occasions in our professional lives where working for 18 to 20 hours straight was the need of the hour.

However, our passion, sense of responsibility, and the satisfaction derived from seeing the smiles on the faces of patients and their relatives serve as an effective mechanism for destressing.

It is understandable that in other professions, the direct positive impact on humans may not exist to the same degree.

I want to shed light on a crucial issue: the detrimental effects of glorifying long working hours in the workplace.

Humans are intricate beings, not machines.

We have personal lives, emotions, and mental health needs that demand attention.

Recent news of a tragic su***de of a young, bright mind underscores the urgency of addressing mental health in the workplace.

It's a stark reminder that life is precious, and su***de should never be an option.

Employers hold a profound responsibility in this regard.

They must create environments that prioritize the mental and emotional well-being of their employees.

This means implementing policies that promote work-life balance, offering mental health resources, and fostering open communication.

But let's take it a step further.

I propose that every company appoint a dedicated professional counselor who can guide employees in mindfulness practices and provide support for issues such as anxiety and depression.
