Akal Academy Kakra Kalan

A rally against drug abuse was conducted at Akal Academy Kakra Kalan, the rally was organised in order to raise awareness on the growing menace of drug addiction among youngsters.
The students and staff of Academy participated in this rally.

Students prepared informative and descriptive posters on drugs and creative awareness among the public by raising slogans against drugs. They walked around Kakra Kalan and informed the public about the ill effects of drug consumption. They gave a message of being the united in order to overcome the increasing problem of drug consumption.

To promote the love for the dastar, a turban tying competition was organised at the Academy on Saturday. Students from classes 5th to 10th participated in this competition with great enthusiasm. In this competition, four students secured positions.

First position was secured by Gurkirat Singh of grade 10th.

Second position was secured by Parwaaz Singh of grade 5th.

There are two students tied for the third position: Gurbaaz Singh of Grade 8th and Yuvraj Singh of grade 6th.

Akal Academy kakra Kalan celebrated the Khalsa sajna diwas and vaisakhi with enthusiasm on 15th April 2024. The celebration commenced with the Sri Sukhmani Sahib path by teachers and students followed by shabad gayan and kavishri. House wise speech on Importance of Baisakhi given by the students and teacher.
The students were made aware about the significance of the day and how the Khalsa Panth was established by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on this day. Then path of the 'Anand Sahib' was recited followed by ardaas. Then, Karah Parshad was distributed among the devotees.

ਅੱਜ ਮਿਤੀ 30 ਮਾਰਚ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਕਾਕੜਾ ਕਲਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੋਹਾੜ ਕਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਬਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਤਾ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ 30 ਤੋਂ 40 ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕੰਠ , ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਿਖਾਈ, ਡਰਾਇੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ । ਫਰਸਟ ਸੈਕਿੰਡ ਥਰਡ ਪੁਜ਼ੀਸ਼ਨ ਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਤੀਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਡਮ ਕਰਮਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ , ਮੈਡਮ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ , ਮੈਡਮ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਜਸ਼ਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

Mathematics Olympiad was organised by Silver Zone Foundation at Akal Academy Kakra Kalan from class 1st to 10th . In this olympiad 22 students participated.

* 7 students from our academy won 🏅Gold medals.

* 5 students from our academy won 🥈Silver medals.

* 4 students from our academy won 🥉 Brownz medals.

Other students got participation certificates from Silver Zone Foundation .

Principal Madam Ms Santosh Kumari and teachers congratulated the students.

An Inter-House Discovery Contest was organised at AKAL ACADEMY KAKRA KALAN from classes 6th to 11th. In this contest, the questions regarding the following points were asked :

◇ Discovery of continents
◇ Discovery of flag
◇ Discovery of different sea routes

There were 4 rounds in the quiz. Each house had four participants.The result of the contest is as follows:

◇ Second Position - Atul House
◇ Third Position- Amul House

The staff of Akal Academy Kakra Kalan recently attended a special seminar on "Health and wellness" hosted by "Health Nutrition" Company in the school premises. The seminar aimed to educate teachers about the importance of leading healthy lifestyles and making informed nutritional choices.During the seminar, experts from the company shared valuable insights on various topics, including proper nutrition, exercise, stress management, weight loss and maintaining overall well-being.

Overall, the health and wellness seminar provided teachers with valuable knowledge and resources to enhance their personal well-being. It was a beneficial event that emphasized the importance of taking care of oneself to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

Kirat Kaur of 6th grade of Akal Academy Kakra Kalan has got 3rd position in the Poem competition - " Mera Sikhi Sidak " , held at Akal University ,Talwandi Sabo in the final round and has made the school proud.

Earlier, the competition was held at Mega cluster level at Akal Academy Bilga in which Kirat Kaur got 1st position and became eligible to enter the final round at Eternal University ,Talwandi Sabo.

Akal Academy Kakra Kalan participated in the "Gatka Competition" held at Akal Academy Cholang on 10th February, bringing together students from different academies to showcase their skills in this traditional martial art form.

12 students from our academy participated in the competition in various events like Fari soti fight, Single soti fight, and Demo fight. Our team clinched 3rd position in Demo fight. They got 8 positions in other events as :

Akal Academy Kakra Kalan held a special session during the Parent-Teacher Meeting on 17th February 2024, in which NEP 2020 was discussed with the parents, emphasizing its positive impact on holistic education. The parents were informed about its focus on critical thinking, vocational skills, and digital literacy. They were encouraged to support its implementation for their child's well-rounded development.
