School of Liberal Art, IIT Jodhpur Congratulates Dr. Ayla Joncheere for the starting of the project, The City Rings, in collaboration with Aifoon (an arts organisation from Belgium) and the Shri Aurobindo School (Jodhpur). The City Rings fosters cultural exchange among children globally by capturing and sharing the essence of their surroundings through sound. Children from Belgium and India record sounds from their schools and neighbourhoods, which are then exchanged and re-recorded in new environments, prompting reflection on our relationship with sound, its role in defining place, and how we can shape our auditory landscape together.

School of Liberal Arts, IIT Jodhpur Congratulate Prof. Ankita Sharma, Dr Prasenjeet Tribhuvan, and PhD Scholar Jyoti Sharma for presenting a paper titled: ‘A Cyber-psychological Perspective on Psychosocial Wellbeing and Communal Harmony- A Case Study from Kotra, Rajasthan.’ at the 33rd National Academy of Psychology conference (NAOP 24) in Visakhapatnam.

The research highlighted the critical need for understanding the complexities of cybercrime and its psycho-social, cultural, and cognitive impacts. Through fieldwork and multidimensional analysis, the role of social media in polarization was delineated. The presentation suggested further policy reforms on the social use of technology to address the underlying challenges and foster peace. The work was Presented by Ms. Jyoti Sharma.
The conference was well covered by newspapers and this research was especially mentioned in relation to Artificial intelligence and its complex relationship with contemporary society and the post-colonial psyche.
