Today, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of Sikhism. His teachings of courage, compassion, and selfless service continue to inspire us all.

~Param Sant Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj was born on January 1, 1896. (Accordingly, Margashirsha Purnima Samvat 1952) was born in village Khitaura, Tehsil-Bharthna, District-Etawa (U.P.). Mother’s name was Pujniya Mohini Devi and father’s name was Pujniya Ram Singh.

Impressed by the inspiring words of the mother, he spent a long time searching for God.

In search of God, he wandered in temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras, shrines, dhams, monasteries, and puris.

At 19, he met with Pujyapad Swami Ghurelal Ji Maharaj in Chirauli village of Tehsil-Iglash of Aligarh district. By taking “naamdan” from him. At the age of twenty, he was successful in the spiritual practice of attaining God.

In 1948, Dada Guru left this world. On July 10, 1952, Param Sant Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj started satsang from Varanasi, the holy city of Ganga. He prepared a vast form of Sangat (followers) by taking out many religious-promotional tours, cycle tours, and convoys.

He did many miracles and gained hundreds of million followers across the country.

He made twenty crore people vegetarian, virtuous, and drug-free. He made Bhajananandi by telling him the most straightforward explanation of ‘Surat-Shabd Yoga.’

Param Pujya Param Sant Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj did life-welfare work until his last breath. He gave up his physical disciple on 18 May 2012. After him, his unique devotee, the revered Pankaj Ji Maharaj, took over the reins of the institution and is constantly moving ahead on the path of Dharma by taking the responsibility of carrying forward the work of his Guru.

The old ashram of the organization’s founder and President, Param Pujya Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj, is in Krishnanagar, Mathura, the registered office of the Jaigurudev Dharma Pracharak Trust, Mathura. It is known as Jaigurudev Chiroli Sant Ashram, Krishnanagar, Mathura. It is a place where Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj spent two decades in the initial days of his spiritual mission.

The holy birthplace of revered Baba Jaigurudev is Khitaura, district-Etawa (U.P.). A grand temple made with white marble is built there and is known as ‘Jaigurudev Janmabhoomi Kothi Mandir.’
