Many countries are producing milk on processed fodder.
Commercialization of fodder is very difficult and fodder is not a interest of anyone.
For silage proper selection of the seeds and harvesting and cutting is a challenge.

Meeting nutritional needs with limited feed ingredients
Lack of value addition and fodder processing industry".

2. Plant Population: 30,000 plants per acre gives higher yield

Production of silage is dependent on both controllable and uncontrollable factors
Recommended Chop Length:
Kernel processing: 0.5 to 0.75 inches
Without kernel processing: 0.25 to 0.5 inches
Air is the biggest enemy of silage processing".
