A Majestic Celebration at Maritime Academy of India on the 75th Republic Day

In a momentous event, the Sailors Union of India West Bengal State Committee was invited to the Maritime Academy of India for the grand flag hoisting ceremony on the 75th Republic Day of India. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Vikrant Rai, Principal Officer of the Mercantile Marine Department in Kolkata, who presided over the ceremony alongside other distinguished dignitaries.

Sailors Union of India's West Bengal State chapter, led by General Secretary Swarup Roy, made significant strides today in fostering maritime awareness and safety. The day kicked off with a visit to the Indian Maritime University (IMU), where Mr. Roy had the privilege of meeting the principal and extending a warm invitation for their upcoming conference.

Undeterred, the team continued their outreach, visiting renowned maritime institutions such as Hoon Maritime, Sensea Maritime, SEI Maritime, MECT, and Trident Maritime. In a proactive move to raise awareness, the union affixed scam alert posters to these institutions, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in the maritime community.

The initiative didn't stop there. and his team paid a visit to the Kolkata Port Master's office, extending invitations to ensure a diverse representation at their conference. Following this, they engaged with the Maritime Mercantile Department (MMD) Kolkata office, meeting with key figures like Shri Vikrant Rai and DY. Shipping Master Choubey Ji, extending invitations and fostering collaboration within the maritime sector.

These outreach efforts underscore the Sailors Union of India's commitment to safety, awareness, and collaboration, as they work towards creating a more secure and cohesive maritime community in West Bengal.

सभी मान्यगण को मंजनपर बुला ने के बाद, दीप प्रज्वलित किया गया है, उसके बाद, सभी मान्य गणों को शॉल और सुई का मोमेंटो देकर सादर किया है
अधिवेशन उत्घादन श्री राजेश राणा जी, विभाग संघ चालक ( आरएसएस) अधिवेशन उत्घाटन किया।

ने कहा की पोर्ट और शिपिंग सेक्टर एकनाथ मिलकर काम करेंगे और हर एक मजदूर भाइयों को उनका हक दिलाने का काम करेंगे। सीमेन भाइयों सागर में काम करता हैं वैसे, हम तट पर पोत में काम करते हैं
श्री आरपी विट्ठल जी ने दो हजार उन्नीस से लेकर दो हजार बाइस तक का यूनियन रिपोर्ट पेश किया गया है और आगे कैसे यूनियन काम करेगा उसकी भी जानकारी दी और तमाम विषयों पर उन्होंने अपनी बात रखें।
# सेलर्स यूनियन ऑफ इंडिया सभी स्टेट के पदाधिकारी उपस्थित थे। और अपने अपने विषय प्रस्तुत किया है। ऐक्टिविटी रिपोर्ट के बाद फाइनेंसिंग रिपेट भी पेश किया सभी डेलीगेट्स ताली बजाकर अनुमोदन किया।
ओके बाद में श्री आर पी विट्ठल ने यूनियन का पहला रेजोल्यूशन पेशंकिया उसको श्री स्वरूप रॉय , जनरल सेक्रेटरी, पश्चिम बंगाल अनुमोदनकीय। दूसरा
रेजोल्यूशन श्री। स्वरूप रॉय ने पेशंकियांकी श्री वी ओ सी ( चितंबरम पिल्लई ) को भारतंका सीफरिंग का पिता घोषित करने का मांग किया।

आर पी विट्ठल महामंत्री पहले कमिटी को डिसॉल्व करके घोषित किया उसके बाद

The SAILORS' UNION OF INDIA (SUI-BMS) delegates Mr. Surendran ji, Organising Secretary, Shri. Jagdiswara Rao ji Vice President, Shri Chandrakant ( Anna) Dumal ji , in-charge, Port and Shipping Sector BMS (Central) Shri RP VEETTIL, All India General Secretary , Shri. Pradeep Singh, All India working president (SUI) and various other sector Incharges met Shri. Sarbanad Sonowal , Minister of Shipping , Govt of India today.
The following issues and suggestions are discussed.

1. SUI-BMS recognition under Ministry of Shipping Govt of India.

2. Minister requested to provide the details of missing seafarers.The portal shall be cretaed by Directorate General of Shipping for missing seafarers.

3. All shipping companies should investigate missing seafarers cases and reported to the DG shipping for course of actions in a legitimate way.

4.Introduction of pension sheme for Retiring sefarers and retired seafarers shall be considered by the Ministry as per the suggestions of SUI BMS.

5.Declaration of "General Roaster" in Andaman Nicobar Islands seafarers shall be considered by the Ministry soon.

6.Thorough re investigation shall be conducted on Cycling "Tautke" and compensation shall be given to the sefarers who lost their life due to the tragedy.

7. Nomination of SUI BMS representation in all statutory body under shipping Ministry.

8. SUI BMS shall give suggestion for the enhancement of Maritime law / Merchnt Shipping Acts in Indian Maritime Industry...

The discussions with the Minsiter was very fruitful and all seafarers will get the benifits from the Shipping Ministry very soon..
