Students from the Army Institute of Management Kolkata recently participated in BONFIRE'24, an event hosted by The Bhawanipur Education Society College Kolkata. The event featured a wide array of engaging activities, including flagship events like Shark Tank, Best Manager, and Board Meeting, as well as business events such as Peaky Branders, Marketing Kurukshetra, and Extempore. The entire event was flawlessly organized, providing participants with an enthralling and well-executed experience. Notably, students from the Army Institute of Management secured third place in the Amalgameet business event🥳.

India hosted the 18th G20 summit in 2023 in style and set a benchmark for all other countries. At AIMK, too, we decided to do something unique and publish a book that articulated India's position as a voice of the emerging global South. We partnered with Sampark publishers to publish a book titled G20 - India's Presidency and the Emerging Global South. This book has 9 chapters written by our faculty members, editorial by Dr Sunandan Roy Chowdhury and the foreword by Mr Harshvardhan Shringla Chief G20 coordinator and former foreign secretary of India.

Army Institute of Management Kolkata (AIMK) hosted its prestigious 21st Medal Award Function (MAF), a time-honored tradition, celebrating the academic excellence and achievement of MBA--24 Batch students.

Apart from the distinguished guests, faculty members, proud families, and friends who gathered to witness the conferral of degrees the ceremony featured esteemed guests of honors including Mr. Sanjeev Sanyal, Member of the EAC - PM and Lt Gen RC Srikanth, VSM, COS HQ Eastern Command, who shared their words of wisdom and inspiration to the graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The ceremony was set into motion by Brigadier, (Dr.) Sujay Ranjan Chaudhuri (Retd), Director AIMK, with his inaugural address.

Bengali New Year 1431 is a significant occasion celebrated worldwide, marking the beginning of the Bengali calendar on the first day of Baishakh. It's a time of cultural richness, where communities don traditional attire, exchange sweets, and participate in lively cultural programs. As the year passes by, moments become memories, prompting reflections and renewed hopes. With the changing of seasons, old thoughts blend into new perspectives, symbolizing a continuous journey of growth and change.

From intense sports battles in football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and chess, the meticulously organized event fostered a spirited and competitive ambiance. Immersed in the fervor for three exhilarating days, from January 26 to January 29, 2024, AIMK emerged triumphant as the winner :

This was presented by NHRDN Kolkata Chapter at Novotel, on February 10th, 2024, alongside esteemed partners PeoplePro and AMRI Hospital Saltlake. On National Escape Day, Pragya (The Scholar Club of AIMK) orchestrated a literary journey to the Kolkata International Book Fair 2024 on January 30th. Guided by Dr. Debolina Chatterjee, around twenty five eager students embarked on a bus ride, venturing into a day of literary exploration and discovery.

The fair, a melting pot of literary treasures, promised a day filled with inspiration, and the joy of exploring new worlds between the pages of countless books.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to purchase various books, attend book readings, and participate in engaging discussions about the power of literature. Some of the visited stalls were Sampark publishing house, Katha o Kahini, Harper Collins, Oxford University Press, Penguin Random House etc.

On the momentous occasion of the 75th Republic Day, vibrant celebrations adorned our premises. The ceremonial unfurling of the tricolour by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Abhishek Kumar, marked the commencement of the program. A symphony of speeches and melodious singing performances by our students filled the air with patriotism. The festivities reached their crescendo as students and faculty gathered in the Tagore Auditorium to witness the majestic march past and tableau parade at the Kartavya Path in New Delhi, concluding the event on a spirited note.

On the 127th Birth Anniversary of the iconic freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, let's reflect on his unwavering passion for India's independence. His legacy, etched in history, serves as an enduring source of inspiration. Today, we express gratitude for Netaji's remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment to the freedom struggle. Lohri Celebration at Army Institute of Management, Kolkata.

On 14/01/2024, the campus radiated warmth as AIM Kolkata embraced the spirit of Lohri. With Registrar Sir Col MKR Verma (Retd.) gracing the occasion, the ISR team, led by Soumyadeep Saha (MBA 26), along with ISR associates Aman Dey and Kuheli Mal (MBA 27), orchestrated a festive extravaganza. The air echoed with joy as the bonfire roared, marking the culmination of a memorable celebration!

On 12/12/2023, Movie Club AIMK Shatayu, under the guidance of club Incharge, experienced a profound visit to the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival. The highlight was "Sonne," an 88-minute masterpiece by Kurdish director Kurdwin Ayub. The film, meaning "sun" in Kurdish, intricately explores Kurdish identity amid displacement and political upheaval. Ayub's unique perspective, blending Kurdish and Western cultures, amplifies global awareness of Kurdish voices. "Sonne" promises a thought-provoking journey, showcasing the enduring spirit of the Kurdish people and contributing to a more diverse cinematic landscape.
