The Saintgits Association of Food Technologists have successfully lead our department for the past three years, and have helped enhance our knowledge and interactions with informative sessions with personals from the industry, as well as through fun activities which made us more active and energetic.
It is now finally time for them to move on so the new team can follow their footsteps to take up the responsibility to take SAFT to greater heights.We're glad to be a part of this wonderful journey and will try our best to put in our full efforts into its successful working in the coming year.
Our team is lead by Assistant professor Anitha Krishnan V C ( Staff coordinator), Diya Sarah Paul ( President), Sreehari B ( Vice President), Alina Mary Kuruvila (Secretary), Tom Baby (Joint Secretary), Aravind Biju & Emlyn Susan Alexander (Treasurer), Vyshnav K (Technical Coordinator) , Reeba Jacob & Sayana Latheef (Executive members)

EDEZIA, the annual technical fest of Department of Food Technology, Saintgits College of Engineering aims at providing a platform for the students to showcase their ideas and skills.
It also focuses on creating awareness about the recent trends in various spheres of food technology through seminars given by eminent personalities in the field.
The events are also open to other departments of Engineering and are designed to accommodate them.
Moreover the fest is a stress breaker and refreshes the interested parties.

EDEZIA 2020 was conducted on 5th December 2020. Due the pandemic, the fest was conducted virtually through various online platforms. The event was headed by Er. Sony George (Staff Coordinator) and coordinated by the students Mr. Hasim Insan, S7 (Project Manager), Ms. Susan Paulose, S7 (Assistant Project Manager), Mr. Kaushik Padmakumar, S5 (Assistant Project Manager) and Jibin Raj, S7 (Treasurer). There were approximately 375 participants from about 73 colleges across India.

Sherin Tom and Sreehari B of third year Food Technology bagged first and second prizes respectively for the online quiz competition conducted by IE(I) students chapter , Food Technology division, Saintgits College of Engineering on 26 september 2020.

6 students from our department got selected and successfully completed the internship in various fields including food technology, quality assurance and human resources.
