*Justice a distinct dream for Kashmiris*,Er Rasheed in Patiala Court.

New Delhi 19 Sep: Jailed AIP Leader Er Rasheed today during hearing in the case filed against the alleged activists of Ram Senha for carrying out ink attack on him (Er Rasheed) in 2015, told the court that it was unfortunate that justice for Kashmiris had been always a distinct dream. Er Rasheed who was produced physically in the court today pleaded his case without being represented by any lawyer. He told the Court that while he was in Jail since 2019 only for speaking for legitimate political rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir, but those who attacked him on 19th October 2015 in Press Club Delhi first with ink and then assaulted him physically along with Zahid's family, who was killed by Cow Vigilantees, were not detained even for an hour by Delhi Police. He also questioned the role of Delhi Police for not adding sections under attempt to murder against the culprits. He told the Court that while world watched the incident when he was almost lynched by the goons, but it took Delhi Police eight years to file a charge sheet against the accused. Court provided Er Rasheed relevant documents pertaining to the case and adjourned the hearing till 20th January 2024

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of concern for justice, democracy, and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I implore you to consider the plea for the immediate release of former MLA Er Rasheed, who has been incarcerated in Tihar Jail for the past four years.Er Rasheed, a dedicated public servant, and a representative of the Langate constituency, has been away from his family and constituents for far too long. His detention not only deprives his family of their beloved father, husband, and brother but also denies the people of Langate their rightful voice in the democratic process. This prolonged detention not only causes immense suffering to Er Rasheed and his family but also threatens the very essence of democracy.As concerned citizens, we cannot ignore the grave consequences of his continued incarceration. It paves the way for corrupt and selfish leaders to take advantage of the void left by his absence, undermining the principles of justice and accountability. We believe in a democratic system where the voice of the people is represented and respected, and the continued detention of Er Rasheed contradicts these fundamental principles.
I urge you, as responsible leaders of our great nation and its union territory, to reevaluate the situation and take necessary actions to secure the release of Er Rasheed. His detention has gone on for far too long, and it is time to restore justice, democracy, and the faith of the people in our democratic institutions.I understand that the security and stability of the region are paramount, but it is equally important to ensure that justice is served. I believe that through a fair and transparent legal process, Er Rasheed can be given the opportunity to present his case and defend his rights.I humbly request your immediate intervention in this matter, as it holds significant implications for the future of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. Your compassionate consideration of this appeal would not only provide relief to Er Rasheed's family but also strengthen the democratic fabric of our nation.

Me & my entire family is worried about the health of my father Er Rashid sb.We are thankful to all those Kashmiri jail inmates lodged in Tihar for providing moral support to Er Rashid Sahb during these toughest days of his life.Unfortunate that Omar Sahb,Farooq Sahb,Azad Sahb,Sajad Sahb, Mehbooba Ji & others everyday demand for conduct of Assembly Polls but no one even once demand release of Er Rashid.Obvious & evident they want Elections with Er Sahb in jail.

Finally after hours struggle at Central Jail No 04 Tihar gate in 42°C first time since 3 August 2019 met her father Er Rashid .Seeing first through the thick glass window in Mulakaat Hall before the security guard could switch on the old styled telephone audio handset📞 her brother Asrar said,"Look look isn't Abu G looking healthy & fine what Dada,Dadi, Mummy & other family members always concern & enquire."After security guard first connected the audio handset Rashid Sahb asked,"Oh Shubu MashaAllah you are too grown now."Minutes after audio was disconnected he again greeted through glass,moved towards his cell & didn't even once look back.

Srinagar April 19: Welcoming release of Assam independent MLA Akhil Gogoi who was booked under UAPA by NIA, Er Rasheed's Family has CJI Mr Dr Justice Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud to take suo moto cognizance of continuous detention of Er Rasheed jailed under UAPA since 2019. In a statement the family said that while Er Rasheed was signed out from the folk of politicians on eve of abrogation of article 370 and packed in Tihar only for raising legitimate rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir, other politicians of continuous detention of Er Rasheed jailed under UAPA since 2019. Never has there been any FIR registered as against him anywhere in or outside J&K from the day he gave up the government job and joined politics in 2008. We are not asking for mercy but liberty is at State. His political career is like an open book and even his worst critics can't accuse him of earning even nominal fortune for creating any nominal assets. He was voice of voiceless and his only fault is that he has neither political Godfathers nor hails from any elite class. The honorable supreme court must ensure his release as not only his personal liberty has been snatched but his continuous detention is insult to people's mandate who always showed their faith in Er Rasheed and thus stand a sore in the eyes of those who are building their empire by sufferings of Kashmir.

سرینگر، 19 اپریل: آسام کے آزاد ایم ایل اے اکھل گوگوئی کی رہائی کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے جن پر این آئی اے کے ذریعہ یو اے پی اے کے تحت مقدمہ درج کیا گیا تھا، انجینیر رشید کے اہل خانہ نے سی جے آئی مسٹر جسٹس دھننجایا وائی چندرچوڑ کو 2019 سے یو اے پی اے کے تحت جیل میں بند انجینیر رشید کی مسلسل نظربندی کا ازخود نوٹس لینے کو کہا ہے۔ خاندان نے بیان میں کہا ہے کہ جہاں انجینیررشید کو آرٹیکل 370 کی منسوخی کے موقع پر سیاستدانوں کے لوگوں سے دستبردار کیا گیا تھا اور تہاڑ میں صرف جموں و کشمیر کے لوگوں کے جائز حقوق کو بلند کرنے کے لیے پیک کیا گیا تھا، وہیں دیگر سیاست دانوں کو یو اے پی اے کے تحت انجنیررشید کی مسلسل حراست میں رکھا گیا تھا۔ 2019 کے بعد سے۔ ایک بیان میں خاندان نے کہا کہ جب انجینررشید کو آرٹیکل 370 کی منسوخی کے موقع پر سیاستدانوں کے لوگوں سے سائن آؤٹ کیا گیا تھا اور صرف جموں و کشمیر کے لوگوں کے جائز حقوق کو بلند کرنے کے لیے تہاڑ میں پیک کیا گیا تھا، دوسرے سیاست دانوں کو حراست میں لیا گیا اور ان کے ساتھ ایسا سلوک کیا گیا۔ مہمان خانوں اور پوش ہوٹلوں میں وی آئی پیز۔ عدالتیں بلاشبہ ان لوگوں کے لیے امید کی کرن ہیں جو سیاسی مصلحتوں کا شکار ہیں، لیکن رشید سپریم کورٹ یا ہائی کورٹ سے رجوع نہیں کر سکے کیونکہ اہل خانہ کے پاس قابل وکلاء تک رسائی نہیں تھی اور نہ ہی اس کے لیے بھاری فیس کا بندوبست کرنے کی پوزیشن میں ہے۔ . بیان میں مزید کہا گیا۔ "ہم عاجزانہ طور پر چیف جسٹس آف انڈیا سے نوٹس لینے کی درخواست کرتے ہیں کیونکہ انجنیر رشید نے نہ تو کوئی جرم کیا ہے اور نہ ہی جموں و کشمیر کے لوگوں کے جائز مسائل کو اٹھانے کے لئے کبھی تشدد کی حمایت کی ہے۔ جس دن سے انہوں نے 2008 میں سرکاری نوکری چھوڑ کر سیاست میں شمولیت اختیار کی تھی۔ ہم رحم نہیں مانگ رہے بلکہ ریاست میں آزادی ہے، ان کا سیاسی کیریئر کھلی کتاب کی طرح ہے اور ان کے بدترین ناقدین بھی ان پر معمولی دولت کمانے کا الزام نہیں لگا سکتے۔ برائے نام اثاثے بنانے پر وہ بے آواز تھے اور اس کا قصور صرف یہ ہے کہ اس کا نہ تو کوئی سیاسی گاڈ فادر ہے اور نہ ہی اس کا تعلق کسی ایلیٹ کلاس سے ہے، معزز سپریم کورٹ ان کی رہائی کو یقینی بنائے کیونکہ نہ صرف ان کی ذاتی آزادی سلب کی گئی ہے بلکہ ان کی مسلسل نظربندی بھی جاری ہے۔ یہ ان لوگوں کے مینڈیٹ کی توہین ہے جنہوں نے ہمیشہ رشید پر اپنا ایمان ظاہر کیا اور اس طرح ان لوگوں کی آنکھوں میں کھٹکا کھڑا کیا جو کشمیر کے مصائب سے اپنی سلطنت بنا رہے ہیں۔
