Leh, April 22: Director, Social and Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh, Tashi Dolma visited the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project Nubra at Diskit, Nubra and also inspected the ICDS Anganwadi Centres at Partapur, Nubra accompanied by Incharge CDPO Nubra, Sonam Tsephel.

During the visit, Director Tashi Dolma enquired about the smooth functionality of the centres and directed the ICDS Supervisors along with the Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers to ensure that details of beneficiary children are updated on Poshan Tracker timely. She also directed the AAW and AAH to routinely conduct home visits.

At the Partapur III ICDS center, Director Tashi Dolma inspected the newly constructed prefabricated unit and specified the need for a separate kitchen and store room. She directed the CDPO to propose requisite requirements of furniture at all the Anganwadi Centres.

At the CDPO Office, she interacted with the Supervisors and the staff and urged them to work with sincerity and dedication for the welfare of the public.

Similarly, Director S&TW, Tashi Dolma inspected the Old Building of the Lamdon Model School, Diskit along with the Principal, Lamdon School; Zonal Education Officer, Nubra and Incharge CDPO to explore the possibility of operationalizing the proposed Eklavya Model Residential School at Nubra until the dedicated EMRS building is established.

Director of Social & Tribal Welfare Department, UT Ladakh Tashi Dolma convenes meeting with Religious Groups to Celebrate International Women's Day

Leh, March 02, 2024: In anticipation of the upcoming International Women's Day on 8th March, a meeting was convened by the Director of the Social & Tribal Welfare Department, UT Ladakh Tashi Dolma with the Women's Wing of all the religious groups (Anjuman-e-Imamia, Anjuman-Moin-Ul-Islam, Ladakh Buddhist Association). The Director briefed the meeting about the program's theme, 'To Celebrate the Extraordinary Journey of Ordinary Women', and also took inputs from the representatives of the groups. The meeting decided to celebrate International Women's Day in all festivities and fervor in convergence with the Women's Wing of all religious groups.The meeting discussed that the event will be celebrated on 8th March at 11 AM in Main
Bazaar and will be a day-long event. It will have
a Panel Discussion on the 'Women's Reservation Bill', which is a historic milestone in our struggle towards gender equality and equal representation. For the first time, a live Sarphel Laskhungs podcast will be broadcast in the Main Bazaar which will cover the story of an ordinary woman who has achieved extraordinary feats in her life. Further, it will
feature women who broke ceilings to aspire,
dream, and carve a commendable space for
themselves and others.
