A warm welcome to our newly appointed Visiting Officer, the Assistant District Grand Master of Bombay, W.Bro. 🏛️✨ An unforgettable evening at Lodge St. George No. 549! Two of our brethren took their first steps as Master Masons after being raised to the sublime degree. Their journey begins, seeking knowledge in Freemasonry's timeless values and principles. We were honored to have visitors from our district and overseas, who attended the meeting and shared in this special occasion.

A exemplary passing ceremony was conducted by the brethren of Lodge St. George No. 549 at our last regular meeting. Two of our brethren, Bro Swapnil Mokashi and Bro. Akshay Venkatachalam were passed to the degree of a Fellow Craft. A brilliant ceremony with lots of Light Blues taking part & doing really well.

We had several visiting brethren. From the overseas, we had brethren from the Grand Lodge of East Africa, South Africa and also brethren from our sister constitution as well as from our own District Grand Lodge of Bombay who showed great appreciation for the way our meeting was conducted as well as for the fellowship they received from all the brethren.

Freemasons' Open House

Freemasonry is the world’s oldest fraternal organisation. With a continuous recorded history of more than 300 years, Freemasons’ lodges can be found almost all over the world.

In Mumbai, Freemasonry appeared about 250 years back and Freemasons’ Hall, Opp Sterling Cinema, Fort, was built about 125 years back.

Once a year, Freemasons conduct an ‘Open House’ where members of the public who are curious to know more, are invited to walk in, see the place and get their questions answered.

The Open House this year is on Sunday, 4th June, from 11 am to 5 pm. Visitors can come at any time based on their convenience.

The event is free but registration is desirable, so that we know that you are coming.
