Atout France, the official tourism development agency of France, recently unveiled its new e-learning platform, France Connaisseur, in an exclusive ceremony attended by a select group of travel advisors and sellers in Mumbai. The launch event was privately held at the Residence de France in Mumbai and was hosted by Jean-Marc Sere Charlet, Consul General of France in Mumbai in association with the Atout France India team.

Jean-Marc Sere Charlet said, "Tourism plays a crucial role in France's economy, and India holds a significant position as one of our key markets. Thanks to the contributions and expertise of travel experts, India is steadily emerging as a market characterized by high-spending travellers for our country. I'm sure the e-learning programme with further enhance the knowledge of travel partners to make France a preferred destination for Indians in Europe."

During the event, Sheetal Munshaw, Country Manager - India, Atout France India said, "This comprehensive platform comprises 15 modules that offer relevant content to help travel professionals gain a deeper understanding of the destination, think creatively, and design unique packages and itineraries that showcase lesser-known areas of France. The program aims to expand the knowledge and expertise of travel advisors, enabling them to offer innovative and captivating experiences to their clients. We encourage both travel experts and front-line staff who directly interact with customers to register for the program. The comprehensive modules can be completed in approximately 10-11 hours, but there is no specific time limit imposed on when they should be finished. This flexibility allows busy travel professionals to access the content at their convenience."

In collaboration with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), the Korea Tourism Organisation orchestrated a remarkable occasion specifically catered to Mumbai OTOAI members. The objective was to unveil a unique K-incentive program designed for travel partners. This event garnered an overwhelming response, with a packed house and enthusiastic attendance from OTOAI members.

Furthermore, the event served as a significant milestone, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the bilateral relationships between India and Korea.

The newly introduced K-Incentive scheme has a primary objective of motivating a greater number of travel partners to actively position, promote, and sell Korea to Indian travellers, with a particular focus on the leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and student segments.

In addition to introducing the K-Incentive scheme, the event also placed a spotlight on various tourism attractions and key selling points of Korea, such as its rich culture, diverse culinary experiences, distinct seasons, and numerous captivating cities. Everyone has a child in them; a 👦 who has a Bucket-list to be ✅ and one of those on the list was to visit the official home town of Santa “Rovaniemi” which I did in 2012 and this year in 2022 Santa surprised me.

He 🎅 came all the way from Lapland to grace the occasion. Was privileged to be clicked in one frame which I proudly call as the two “Mouche-Ke-Teers”
