One Nation

Dear Friends & Family,
Hope you are well.
Starting this Sunday, the 18th of June, we will be starting 2 services - English and Hindi.
Following are the timings for the same:

English: 9:30am - 11am
Hindi: 11:30am - 1pm

We will also have the prayer furnace half an hour before the service - 9am & 11am.

If you are in the vicinity and/or visiting Mumbai, please do come and join us in worship, prayer and the word.

Nepal Mission - 24-28 Oct. Four days of very fruitful training time in Sindhuli, Nepal. Gurmeet, Franco, Dilip & Pramod along with Dipak taught and trained more than 40 leaders. Also had the privilege of meeting many more wonderful people in Nepal. I was really blessed to see Nain Bahadur Sarkey who is 89 years old who had walked for 4 hours just to attend a mtg and walked back another 4 hours to reach his home! Thank you Gopal, Dilli, Amar & Josef!

For three successive months the Karuna Project Mobile Medical Team has been able to identify and treat new cases of leprosy patients. At the Medical Camp and Leprosy Awareness Program on 21.10.2022 the Karuna Team identified 3 new cases of people with Leprosy out of the 25 people that were screened for leprosy. And out of the three one of them was a 6 year old girl, this girl's life has been saved from a lifetime of sickness, trauma and stigma. All three were referred to the local health centre to start the Multi Drug Therapy (MDT). The Karuna Project exists for this very purpose!!

TRANSFORM 2022! Oct 21-24. - 3 days of hearing teachings on ‘Become who YOU ARE’! 100 plus young people got together after 3 years for Transform 2022. It was an amazing time of being strengthened & encouraged in God, making new friendships and lots of fun. Amazing testimonies of how God has touched lives have been coming in from those who attended. Indeed a super time in God!

250 delegates across nations gathered at the Convergence Conference in Dubai. This conference was a celebration of the coming together of Gateway and City Hill to start Citygate!
There was much excitement to see all that God was doing in the nations. It was filled with Exciting times of Worship, Interviews with Pastors that gave us a glimpse of the mission happening across the nations and sermons that challenged the congregation to build well, embrace suffering and raise up men and women who will be released in their gifting to respond to the Macedonian call. Franco preached a great word - 'Discover, Develop and Deploy - Eph 4 gifts in the Nations' that was well received and encouraged many.

A new business initiative by Ivy and Ashim from One Nation. Congratulations to both of you!
‘Baithack’ taste of Kulhad. This venture has given employment to some and they want to generate more employment for many more!
Please do visit this place when you are in Mumbai. It’s in Vile Parle, near Gajalee Restaurant, also quite close to the airport! It was inaugurated by our dear friend, none other than Actor/Director Errol Peter Marks!

A tribute to Pat Magee (1940-2021) by Errol Marks

“I doubt there is anyone amongst our wide group of churches that hasn't heard of Uncle Pat. If there ever was a person befitting the title of "Living Legend" it was Uncle Pat. He had a singular focus - To Make Jesus Known. Even when asked to preach, as far from 'sharing your faith' as the topic of the Sunday was, Uncle Pat's heart for the gospel shone through. We hear about Billy Graham, Reinhardt Bonnke and the likes but the closest we have come to a real-life, everyday example would be Uncle Pat.

He knew his gift and rarely did he deviate his time and energy to anything else. I envy that about him. Such single-minded focus and dedication reaped great rewards for him. Many Churches have been established by his dedicated service. The people that accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour through Uncle Pat's nurture and care have gone on to lead Churches, be elders and have in turn spread the love of Jesus to thousands more. What a Legacy!!!!

Uncle Pat shared the love of Jesus at any given opportunity. That kind of boldness and gifting is rare. He also had the rare gift of getting along with anyone - from toddlers to centenarians, he could befriend anyone!!. He could listen and talk to you for as long as you wanted even if it meant him going hungry. He would travel far and wide if you wanted him to and was always available. Uncle Pat had the kind eyes, easy smile and just the right demeanour to make anyone feel comfortable. On most Sundays he along with Aunty Margaret would sit and talk to newcomers. Their home was always open and many have enjoyed their hospitality and received love, godly advice and prophetic prayer. Uncle Pat did this week after week, year after year, time after time. He did this right up till his body forced him to say STOP. Still, with the onset of Parkinson's and other ailments, he prioritised the gospel. He kept sharing the gospel. He kept doing what he was called to do. He has been a spiritual father to more people than we can count. He believed in people when they didn't have any hope for themselves. Uncle Pat did that with me, all the time! I loved looking towards him whenever I shared the Word because I knew he would always be listening. After every message, he would come and shake my hand and tell me how blessed he was by my preach!!! You have no idea how much confidence that gave me and how encouraged it made me feel. That was Uncle Pat to me.

Sometime just before noon, Uncle Pat went to be with his Maker. He went to be with The One he shared and spoke about to thousands. I don't fully understand how Heaven works but I am sure he has met Aunty Margaret there and they must have spent quite some time in a long, loving embrace, overjoyed at the fact that they have fought the good fight, they have finished the race and they have kept the faith. The Words of the Apostle Paul that Uncle Pat read for years, that he looked forward to for years, that he persevered for years - "Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day" has finally come. God's favourite messenger, the bringer of Good News to many can finally hear the words he wanted to hear all his life - "Well done my good and faithful Pat."
Well done uncle Pat!! Thank you for being with us and loving us. We will never forget you. We celebrate you. We will always Love you.

The UN released a circular (47th session of the Human Rights Council) recognizing and acknowledging the effort and work done by Karuna during the COVID Pandemic in their Good Practises section. This can be seen on page 17 of the circular. �We are both, humbled and ecstatic to hear this news. �A big thank you to the Karuna staff that has served selflessly over the past very many years. They are the backbone of this work and it is their selfless and gracious serving day after day that has made Karuna last and what it is.

On Friday we got the news that our beloved friend Claude D’Mello got called into Eternity, his forever home!
Here is a little tribute to Uncle Claude.

Very Saddening to hear about Uncle Claude. He was a good man. He was the first person I saw when I came to church for the very first time.
In all my years of being a part of Church I have never seen someone be so dedicated and committed to doing something that not many of us may think of as “an important” part of Church Serving.
He did what he had the grace to do with the grace given him from above. No one had to tell him, he just did it. He wasn’t a great leader, preacher, worship leader or theologian. He was a simple man, who understood Jesus and his work on the cross and lived his life glorifying him.
What a wonderful man!!!
To me he is a legend!! Very rarely will someone know who they are, be comfortable with who they are and be happy with what God has given them. Uncle Claude for all this and more is a legend!!
I won’t be surprised, if up there, he insists at standing at the gate of heaven welcoming people with that perfect smile, soft voice and warm hug.
Uncle Claude was his best welcoming people - at his house, in church, on the streets and he did that so well and better than anyone else I know. When we welcome people, we do it because we are on the rota, for uncle Claude it was worship. And in this respect he was an artist and a scholar of putting people at ease and welcoming them with arms wide open.
It just strikes me, uncle Claude literally was the opening image of church for many people who stepped into a service like ours for the very first time!! And like I did, when I was just 6 or 7 maybe, they too must have felt his warmth and welcome and known that this was a safe place.
I can think of no better ambassador of Jesus Christ than uncle Claude who believed in Jesus, changed his ways, worshipped him wholeheartedly, served the church with passion and zest and shared the gospel to whoever he could find.
A true gem. A true legend.
Will miss uncle Claude deeply!
