Got my certification for Cochlear Implant (CI) rehabilitation!!! This was one course that I thoroughly enjoyed and attended it through different continents. Thanks to technology! 🌺On occasion of the *World Autism Awareness Day,* IAP Mumbai has organized an *online session for the Teachers and Counsellors* by *Dr Priyanka Parikh,* Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician on *2nd April, 2024 from 7.00 - 8.00pm*

🌺The session will help pick up soft clinical signs to suspect children with ASD by case scenarios and early referral to developmental pediatrician. It will discuss the various challenges for children with Autism in classrooms and help create inclusive school environments.

World Hearing Day celebrated with a Hearing Check Up Camp on 16th and 17th March 2024. Dr Panna, an ENT practitioner in Powai inaugurated the camp. The camp was graced by many renowned personalities in Powai including Senior Citizens Association President, Mr Ramakant Agrawal and many other neighbours and friends!!! Enjoyed interacting and sharing hearing conservation guidelines with young and adults alike. ❤️🌹

On occasion of World Hearing Day falling on March 3rd, organizing a free hearing check up camp for anyone who cares about their hearing and want to proactively take steps to prevent hearing loss in the future. Learn about World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for better hearing.

This year we have laid the foundation stone for "Cochlear Implants for Adults" initiative. We would be focusing on adults not benefiting from hearing aids. Do come over on coming Saturday and Sunday to get yourself tested and to have a free consultation about whether cochlear implants would benefit you.

On the occasion of World Hearing Day launching awareness about Cochlear Implants in Adults in clinic this year.

Cochlear Implants have brought hope to all the children and adults with severe to profound hearing losses and not benefitting with hearing aids.

This awareness would include candidate counselling, ENT referrals and post surgery switch ons, mapping and AVT / listening training sessions.

This year’s theme of World Hearing Day is “Changing Mindsets” about hearing loss. Hearing loss is an invisible impairment which has tremendous impact on your social wellbeing and quality of life. Let’s all be aware of our hearing levels by doing an Audiometry test in our health package and take preventive measures to conserve our hearing by wearing ear protectors and ear plugs when in noise. Please follow WHO guidelines for ear phone and ear buds usage.

Cochlear Implants (CI) provide hope to patients with poor speech discrimination with hearing aids. If done early immediately after the hearing loss is identified (without auditory deprivation) this small surgery can be life changing for many. Do visit to assess your candidacy for CI.

Auditory training is needed in the initial days to improve speech and sound discrimination to accelerate the success of the surgery.
