Friends, these things look attractive in reel life but it’s far away from the truth.

The meeting of the students who have done either undergraduate or Post graduate diploma of degree from IGGMC was held today at Lecture Hall B, IGGMC at 10 AM and ex students especially from 1967 and 1968 batches also attended. Teachers, Students and Resident representatives of IGGMC also attended this meeting. Dr.B.J.Subhedar chaired the meting which was presided over by Dr.Madhukar Parchand, Dean, IGGMC in prominent presence of Dr.Mrunal Phatak, Teacher In charge- SAIGGMC. Dr.Ravi Wankhede, 1st student from 1967 batch welcomed the dignitaries on the dais. At the outset, Dr.Rajkumar Khandelwal highlighted the accomplishments of alumni association especially the effort to get file PIL in courts for MCI approved seats. He subsequently submitted the resignation of present body and anticipated that more energetic, more enterprising, more transparent group of alumni members should take over. Dr.Nirmal Jaiswal and Dr.Anup Marar showed power point presentation of the available vacancies in the Alumni Association and proposed Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee. During this gathering Dr.Anand Pangarkar, Dr.Manmohan Daga, Dr.Raju Deoghare, Dr.Warbhe, Dr.Ravi Chauhan, Dr.Prashant Nikhade, Dr.Raju Mohta and Dr.Kamelsh Sonpure ( OSD to CM) were felicitated by the chair for their proactive efforts to improvise the infrastructure at IGGMC. Dr.Anand Pangarkar also spoke of the backend efforts of Alumni Association to improve the existing infrastructure in various departments. Dr.Maya Ballal then asked for vote for extension/ change of present body. The general body in thumping majority refused to accept the resignation of the body and extended the tenure of existing Alumni Association body and approved their plan to have a common Organizing Committee consisting representative from Students, Teachers, Residents and Ex-students in various committees. Each batch (1967-2016) has been asked to forward name of at least 2 batch representatives who will be included in the IGGMC Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee. A meeting of all said 100 batch representatives is contemplated on coming Sunday to finalize the body and plan the road map for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. The present governing body members of IGGMC Alumni Association who have been re-nominated are Dr Ashok Adhao-President, Dr Anand Pangarkar and Dr Shishir Kolhe –Vice presidents, Dr Raju Khandelwal - Secretary, Dr Prashant Nikhade and Dr Anup Marar- Joint Secretaries, Dr Mrs Maya Ramesh Ballal- Treasurer and Dr Nikunj Pawar as Joint Treasurer. Dr Nirmal Jaiswal, Dr Nilesh Agrawal and Dr Sandeep Meshram are the executive members. Dr.Sunil Gupta volunteered and sponsored the hospitality during this meting. Dr.Shishir Kolhe and Dr.Sandeep Meshram worked hard to arrange related logistics for this meeting while Dr.Nilesh Agrawal proposed vote of thanks.
