Wheelchair Sports !!! Around a couple of decade ago it was hardly heard of in India. It has not only evolved with time, a wide variety of sports have been adapted for wheelchair users. A sport like Rugby, which is not very commonly played in our country by able bodied, is becoming increasingly popular amongst wheelchair users.
There are also a number of examples of persons with disabilities who through Wheelchair Sports overawe us with their skills and abilities. Continuing with the series on wheelchair sports, we share with you a glimpse of Wheelchair Rugby.
Seeing this, you will be convinced that there is an ability within each individual to exploit the “Power of the Mind”. Such an experience definitely motivates us to overcome challenges in our day to day life by harnessing these abilities within us.

Embracing the Spirit of Guru Nanak Jayanti: Nurturing Spinal Wellness for Universal Harmony
On this sacred occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, let's embark on a journey inspired by the profound teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, focusing on the prevention and management of spinal ailments – a global challenge affecting countless lives.
We strive to foster spinal wellness and create a world where every individual, regardless of their physical condition, can lead a fulfilling and empowered life.
Imagine the formidable challenge faced by a person who gets paralysed below the neck, with barely any power in the upper limbs, to get back to a near normal lifestyle.
Preethi Srinivasan not only overcame such a challenge after sustaining a high tetraplegia at the tender age of 18, she has also launched various initiatives to bring respite to persons with locomotor disabilities.
I recently visited Soulfree, one of her initiatives in the holy city of Thiruvannamalai and was mesmerised by her endurance, persistence, and will power. This truly integrated service for spinal cord injury management with many firsts to its credit, is a replicable model especially suited for emerging countries.
Preethi epitomises the “power of the mind” and “giving back to the society”. She is a great example even for the able bodied. Let’s take a cue from her to tap the power of our mind to not only overcome any challenges in our day to day life but also to give back to the society.
This Bhai Dooj, celebrate the bond of wellness and the support that keeps you upright.

On this auspicious occasion of Govardhan Pooja, we're reminded of the strength of unity and support. Just as Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill to shield his people from adversity, we are here to support you in your journey towards a healthier spine.
This Diwali, let's light up not just the lamps but also the path to a healthier and happier life!
We believe that true wellness starts from within, just like the inner light that guides us through the darkest nights.
Continuing with the series of examples of persons with disabilities who through Wheelchair Sports not only overawe us with their skills and abilities but also inspire and motivate us, we share with you a glimpse of wheelchair basketball.
Seeing this you will be convinced that there is an ability within each individual to exploit the “Power of the Mind”.
Such an experience definitely motivates us to overcome challenges in our day to day life by harnessing these abilities within us.
As we celebrate the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, let's draw inspiration from the legendary triumph of Lord Rama.
Just as Lord Rama conquered the ten-headed demon king Ravana, we too can conquer the challenges that sometimes burden our lives, including spine-related issues.
Osteoporosis leads to a decrease in bone density and mass, causing bones to become porous and brittle. This loss of bone density occurs over time and is often asymptomatic until a fracture occurs.
Several factors increase the risk of developing spinal osteoporosis, including age gender, family history, certain medications, hormonal changes, and a lack of physical activity.
