Programs permissible on Community Radio should be of immediate relevance to the community and focus on issues relating to education, health, environment, and agriculture and rural and community development. At least 50 percent of content shall be generated with the participation of the local community, for which the station has been set up. Transmission of sponsored programmes shall not be permitted except programmes sponsored by Central and State Governments and other organizations to broadcast public interest information. Such station cannot broadcast any programmes, which relate to news and current affairs and are otherwise political in nature. Location for CR is to be located within the campus in case of educational institutes. NGOs and others have to locate their transmitter, antenna with the centre of geographical area of the community they seek to serve. Radio Noida 107.4 FM is a part of the social work being done by Asian Education Group. Deregulation of the media and relaxing the broadcasting monopolies by the Govt. has enabled Asian Education Group to harness the immense power of radio for the service of the society. Recognizing that community radio is one of the most promising tools of social development; Radio Noida 107.4 FM has been providing community based services by broadcasting programmes relevant to the educational, developmental, cultural and social needs of women, children, youth and senior citizens in a suitable manner. The production and technical staff members of this community radio are providing the listeners with engaging programmes based on feedback from the listeners to ensure the sustainability of the broadcasting service. Radio Noida 107.4 FM is also empowering and motivating young men and women to carry the community radio movement forward by providing them with education and training in the techniques of radio production. Authentic fame and popularity always travel by the word of mouth and in our case this has spread to overseas also. This makes us ecstatic, though very humble. The our sprawling campus has an international milieu and flavour. So far, students from over 70 countries have enrolled on our training programmes at some stage or the other, a large percentage being from Europe, Middle East, Far East and the pacific Rim regions, and not to forget those from our neighbouring countries. of India had authorized us in 2009 to run a community radio at Marwah Studio Complex and to name it as Radio Noida 107.4 FM. The renowned music Maestro Sajid and Wajid had kindly consented to be its brand ambassador. This community radio had been catering to the needs and taste of over Two million listeners and is committed to improving the quality of social conditions and cultural lives of people. As a radio station for the community it gives voice to the listeners on various issues concerning them. Radio Noida 107.4 FM is motivated purely by community well being and has succeeded in its mission.
