About The Guest: in her words:
I am Salho Hembrom, PGDRD in Rural Development from Xavier Instituted of Social Services, Ranchi in 1994. Diploma in community health services from CMS Kolkata. At present, working as a Dy. Program Manager (W.E) Bharatpur Center.
As a development professional, with more than a 26 yrs of experiences in social development, I feel privileged to work with rural poor and downtrodden communities. In my strategic endeavors, I emphasized my solid faith in right-based- approaches to combat women empowerment, reproductive-child- health issues, livelihood avenues to women for their self reliant ,promoting for good governance, convergence, advocacy and lobbing with media and civic society organizations, which are integral strategies for LHWRF organization. Since I come from rural background and disadvantaged primitive santhal community from Orissa, I always wish to work with them and I am still marching in a live-wire manner with total commitment and dedication in this direction with the same spirit and dedication.
As far as the achievements are concerned as a In charge of Women Empowerment Department in lupin Foundation. I am fortunate to deal with the issues relating to women development and accomplished significant outcomes through SHGs for economic empowerment and skill enhancement for sustainable livelihood promotion of rural women. Apart from this, I have vast experiences to social assessment study with DPIP, Dholpur and Technical survey of urban sanitation with UNDP-World Bank through PRA techniques. As a filed officer of INHP program in CARE-India America funded project ,I have dealt overseas oversea delegates and facilitated to ICDS & Health Department functionaries for better implementation of Health Nutrition program of Bharatpur, Dholpur and Alwar In my HR management, I am co-coordinating middle level officers and field staff. My strong ability to provide guidance to staff for smooth implementing of project & program . I have good laisoning skill to handle with funding agencies to mobilizing the fund as well as resources for program implementation. My significant achievements and efforts have been honored by District Collector, Conferred by state level award as Stree -Sakti Puroskar by honorable Chairperson of Bidhan Sobha Mrs. Sumitra Singh for significant contribution for socio-economic women empowerment of women’s of bharatpur district by Govt of Rajasthan. I have got an opportunity for advanced study on local economic development from Wietz Center for Development Rohovot , Israel.
Under my leadership, organization was awarded as out standing institution for women welfare as a FICCI ladies Organization, beside this 24 women entrepreneurs was recognized by state and national level award. I have been nominated in various forum of district level department and judiciary depart as chairperson and member to redressed the issues related to women. . My efforts toward women’s empowerment I have got space in Doordarsan Channel as “Her Own Sky” movie coverage on successful Women Entrepreneur, the “ Si Asha” a film on micro enterprises by women group and “Beyond Business” coverage under Profit could be considered my humble efforts and devotion towards women’s development. This is a massive contribution in the region. I strongly feel my sound planning administration abilities along with leadership skill, leading guidance to motivating the team and community for the best result toward empowerment.
