अ‍ॅनिमिया (रक्तक्षय/पंडुरोग)म्हणजे काय?

शरीरात हिमोग्लोबिनची कमतरता झाल्याने टिशू आणि मांसपेशी यांना ऑक्सिजनचा पुरवठा कमी पडतो. त्यामुळे शरीर शक्तीहीन होत जाते, याला अॅनेमिया म्हणतात. प्रत्येकवेळी थकवा जाणवणे, उठता-बसता चक्कर येणे, त्वचा आणि डोळे पिवळे पडणे, ह्रद्याची असामान्य धकधक, श्वास घेण्यास त्रास होणे, तळवे आणि हात थंड पडणे इत्यादि अॅनेमियाची लक्षणे आहेत.

कारणे

1.शरीरातून रक्त वाहणे/ वाया जाणे
2.पोटातील व्रण, मूळव्याध, लघवीतून रक्त जाणे, संडासवाटे रक्त जाणे, पोटातील सूज, कर्करोग अशा कारणांनी सतत रक्त वाया जाण्याने रक्तक्षय निर्माण होऊ शकतो.
3.स्त्रियांमध्ये मासिक पाळीच्या वेळी अधिक रक्तस्राव होत असेल किंवा दर १५-२० दिवसांच्या अंतराने पाळी येत असेल तर अधिक रक्त बाहेर जाऊन रक्तक्षय होऊ शकतो.
4.विशिष्ट प्रकारची वेदनाशामक औषधे किंवा स्टिरॉइड्समुळे पोटात सूज येते आणि व्रण निर्माण होऊन त्याद्वारे हळूहळू रक्त वाहून रक्तक्षय होतो.
