3D renders are always a great way to anticipate any errors and mitigate any potential problems. All in all, 3D renders are indispensable to the process.
Realistic visuals make the human brain develop feelings and enable easy decision making. This in turn helps us be on the same page with the client.
From the client’s perspective, 3D renders are almost as if we’re stepping into the future. It allows them to experience the project as comprehensively as possible.
We try to make the renders as close to life as possible in an effort to not just present them to the client but also do justice by the team’s vision. After all, the 3D renders are the first real taste of the team’s expression of the end-outcome.
While we start with a brainstorm that ends up as hand-drawn sketches (yes, we still do those and cannot stress enough of their importance), the next stage is that of converting the designer’s raw vision into understandable, clear and detailed 3D renders.
At Intraa Design Studio, we believe that the process is as important (if not more) as the outcome. At the time of the inception, we put a lot of thought and effort into visualising the end result.
A terrace or an amphitheatre? Well, why not have both! That’s we did at this residential project, where we converted the terrace space into a platform for performing. In fact, the centre stage was designed to be circular so that audience can have unobstructed views from all sides! Only the rear side of the stage was left without seats as the view from the edge is breath-taking, especially during the dusk and dawn. It also forms a picturesque backdrop to the stage.
About pretty, calming corners and selfie-worthy corners! A glimpse of the entrance lobby of a residential project.
We created a “Book Katta” or a reading corner in the lobby extension. It was meant to be an alternative space to the confines of one’s home. A space to unwind and relax with a book after a long day or on the weekend. With this in mind, we also used a lot of natural elements such as wood and patches of green to create a calm and cooling environment. In fact, this project has received the Asea -jury award.

Terrace spaces are often out of mind spaces that only come to life when there’s a celebratory occasion. But the open, inviting space, below vast skies and looking down on gorgeous cityscapes can be utilised much more efficiently.
Our vision of the terrace space for this project was to be a space that enables an individual’s inspiration. A platform where either an individual or a group can come together to express their zest for life. A place for people to perform and be fully themselves. Hence, we’ve implanted the music instruments. We’ve also created formal seating spaces that facilitate conversations.
We’ve also created an earthy, humble, inviting “feel” by using Indian natural stones and embedding pops of green.
A corner for everyone~ Part 2
We ensured that the space was embedded between lots of greenery to make it more intimate and also shield it from the hustle bustle from the busy road outside. A traditional “Tulsi Vrundavan” with a modern sculpture added a touch of culture.
A corner for everyone~ Part 1
This space was created to be an cosy corner where users could escape from the world and form one of their own. We imagined it as a space used by the elderly for social interactions or a fun recreational space for adults and children to work on their hobbies.
Waiting but not wanting~ Part 3
Now all the space needed was a “touch of green”. We added plants as a stress-reliever for the people waiting in the lobby as well as to filter out the air

While the wooden, wicker furniture drew up an old world charm, the monotoned grey louvres were a touch of the modern design world. In fact, the grey panelling served the dual purpose of being a backdrop for the black certification boards as well as a way to camouflage the doors embedded in the panelling

What you see is one of the few seating clusters in the entrance lobby. Our vision was to create a space that was a balance between contemporary and modern designs.

Unwind at your own pace~
This photo is one of our favourite corners from the Book Katta. It goes on to capture the natural and peaceful mood that we intended on creating. The use of raw wood and ample patches of green instantly calm your mind and act as stress relievers. Sitting here with a book and a cuppa on a rainy day is what every Sunday should be made of.
To make the Book Katta feel calming and refreshing, we used lots of nature-inspired elements. Hence the generous use of raw-wooden furniture and spots of green. In fact, this project has received the Asea -jury award.
How much would you like to unwind in this space over a cup of chai and books? Tell us in the comments.

The Book Katta or the Reading area in the lobby space was created as a space for members to unwind after a long day or on the weekends. It’s meant to be another choice of space, apart from one’s home where they can relax and read their book. To create that open and accessible environment, the space is kept open from both sides.

When you usually imagine residential building lobbies, what do you think of? White-marbled tiles, excessive, empty spaces, red fire hydrants? But what if we could utilise these empty spaces and make them into something that adds more value in resident’s life? That’s exactly what we at this Gangotree Builder’s residential complex. The common areas were converted into “Book Kattas” among other spaces. Watch this space to know more.

The white service platform increases the total utility area in the kitchen and can also double up as a buffet table. Although, with ample storage space in this modular kitchen set-up, the role of the service platform then becomes to add an aesthetic value.
We’ve also embedded in the space, minimal but ornamental planters to set a calming mood.
To add a touch of vibrance and break the monotony we used earthy green tiles above the main kitchen platform. The choice of white grout not only complimented the rest of the décor but also highlighted the Hair & Bone pattern of the tiles.
Beauty in minimalism.
The client aspired for their kitchen to be spacious and minimal. And we delivered. Keeping most of the surfaces plain and clean was one way to do it. The other was the abundant use of white. This elegant color is more reflects light more than most color, hence making the space seem bigger.
The compact dining table enables quick breakfasts as the family prefers traditional, Indian sit-down meals. It also can be easily moved to the terrace as a serving platform for terrace parties.
